Four Paws Fence proudly represents Pet Stop, Hale, Security Boss, and Plexidor dog doors. We are a family owned business and are proud to have earned the Angie's List Super Service Award. Call for an appointment or visit us at our full-service retail location for batteries, collars, and adjustments. We service all brands of in-ground or hidden pet fences. Founded In 1995, Four Paws Fence has grown to over 7,500 customers and have used underground fences to safely contain over 10,000 pets in the greater Kansas City Metro and beyond.

We then called the company owner and were told that since the breaks could not be located, they had to assume that there were so many breaks that the system could not be repaired. We were told that we had to have a totally new system installed to the tune of $2000! We declined and told him to sent his employee back to bury the exposed wires he had left.
We since contacted another reputable company and they were able to find two breaks in the wire within less than an hour! Not only did they repair the breaks for $102 but also noticed that Four Paws had switched out our original DogWatch system (that had a lifetime warranty) a few years ago for their Pet Stop system that has only a limited warranty!
We are now back on the Dog Watch system and wonder why Four Paws did not reveal that they had switched brands on us.
We are also wondering why they were not able to detect the breaks in the wire!
"Dear Mrs [Member Name Removed], I am sorry you felt that you did not receive the service you wanted. Your fence was old and damaged when we came to your house for the repair., We choose to inform you at that time that your best option was to replace the fence wire - which was the same advice we had given you in 2014. You had repairs to the wire 5 times between 2011 and 2015 due to wire breaks from digging. As for the swap out of analog Dog Watch equipment to digital Pet Stop equipment, we did that for you at no charge and upon your request (due to problems with the DW equipment). I'm sorry you forgot that. As for your wire today, you will continue to have problems every time the ground gets really wet or completely drys out as you wire is nicked and will continue to short out intermittently. We wish you the best, however I do believe that it would be in everyone's best interest to communicate when you have questions or problems instead of writing inaccurate and misleading posts to damage our reputation. "Mrs. [Member Name Removed], I am truly sorry you feel that way. Let me help to set the record straight. You are the first and only person who has complained about our service. Unfortunately you have your facts mixed up and it took over a month for you to even partially pay. When we did your re-install you were given a special price because of the time of year and because you provided the wire. With regards to the service call, and your assertion that we charged you for travel time, I can assure you we didn't and never do. We arrived at our pre-arranged time and were greeted by your representative (which you stated was your daughter's boyfriend). He admitted that he had accidently cut the wire in several places while edging the lawn. We used our locator to find 2 separate breaks and replace the wire in between. You were charged for the service call, time (45 minutes) & materials (2 waterproof splices and wire). At the completion of the repair your representative informed us you were traveling or on vacation and he would not be paying. The service call was completed on 6/8/15 the partial payment finally received on 7/9/15 after we attempted many phone calls and sent you e-mails. The service we supply is specialized and uses special equipment and training. That is why the pricing structure is set as it is. We explain the service call prices when a request is made. Unfortunately we cannot give exact prices as each call is different. Thank you, xxxxx (Owner Four Paws) Attempted to contact customer at a later date, the customer is still not willing to correct this review even though they never actually paid the full repair invoice and we fixed the breaks caused by the daughter's boyfriend edging the flowerbeds. 1/31/17"
So Four Paws came out again, and re-flagged the buried wire, then spent time with me re-teaching me to teach my dogs to recognize their boundary. Training went well with one of the dogs, but his brother was enticed to break through the fence and chase wildlife. Four Paws came to the rescue again, by upgrading his collar receiver (twice) to a model that worked well for him.
All at no charge to me! Their service after the sale is unparalleled, in my opinion.
