I have an old house that badly needed some carpentry work and a paint job. Five Star did a good job. The house looks much nicer and their price was much lower than other bids I received. They helped me pick out the color scheme and completed the carpentry and painting very quickly. However, in several areas around the house and garage they left lots of lead paint chips on the ground. When I asked the PM to clean it up he became evasive and difficult to work with. After almost 3 weeks someone was sent over but they did an incomplete job. I finished cleaning it up myself (which wasn't trivial). So, the house looks much better and the price was low but they didn't do a good job cleaning up after themselves.

They were okay for the painting job. However, I faced some issues with them. They delayed the project and did not adhere to the timeline they originally promoted. Also, we got a door painted with them and they said that if I notice bubbles or cracks on the paint, I contact them. I saw a bubble on the door and contacted them for it. But they never responded back.

This company cares about the paint and nothing more. Only hire them if have no furniture in your house because if you pay them to move anything, they will toss it upside down and backwards breaking things, ruining them, and then say Sorry, but furniture isnt our problem. Not to mention the fact that the places we did have them paint the trim were crooked, there was flakey paint the next day, they managed to dump water out of a plant in a secure out of the way place two days in a row killing it, painted a door we told them twice not to paint and so many other issues aside. Absolutely cannot recommend youre much better off painting yourself or emptying your house to protect your things because despite being assured I was getting The Best of the Best, I got garbage, along with the literal garbage they left in our house and in the bushes outside. And you cannot believe anything the sales rep says because despite being reassured multiple times that we could still stay in the house and theyd work around us, it was impossible and we had to leave anyway.

"Khianna I am having David, your project manager, reach out to you to address your issues. We did do multiple walkthroughs with Jeffrey and addressed everything he said that needed to be addressed. As far as having to leave your home. We do prep all the areas we are working in to ensure we keep paint off of things it should not be on. (we are human and occasionally have accidents but get those cleaned up) We also cover as much as we can to keep dust from sanding. It looks like we painted most of the walls in your home, removed some wallpaper, and did some skim coating. That is a project that requires a lot of preparation which includes things being covered in tape, plastic, and paper. We do have extremely high standards and typically very happy clients. David will be working with you to ensure we do everything we can to address the things you talked about."

The project supervisor was great to deal with & the painters were careful to protect areas not being painted. It’s great when service providers are on time and do a great job in quick timely manner. Five Star Painting provided the total package. They provided a color consultant that helped us pick out the right paints and were on the were on the job quick! They were thorough in repairing areas of wood rot and painting difficult areas. The project manager kept in contact with me throughout the entire process. Highly recommend.

Tim and his team of professionals did a fantastic job. Very professional and courteous throughout the process. They walked us through the process during quoting, then again before the project started, and followed up with a walk through when the project was completed. They also kept up great communication throughout the project. They were professional, efficient, and great with follow-up. Will be hiring them again for future projects!
