ELECTRONIC SERVICES INC

I was recommended by another electronic company that Electronic Services Inc would be the only option to service my camera locally. I saw some negative comments online but went ahead and called. I called and spoke with a pleasant individual so I took it into their offices. The individual at the counter wasn?t as pleasant as the first individual I spoke with on the phone but I left my camera so they could give me a quote. I received a quote of $269 via e-mail as agreed but was out of town when I received the information so I couldn?t ask them for details in regards to the quote. When I arrived back home, I contacted them and found that the estimate included installation of a new iris. I went to pick up my camera and I checked it to make sure the camera functioned properly and asked to see the replaced iris. The gentleman went into the back and said that there wasn?t a new iris and that they were able to repair my old iris. When I was informed that no new part was installed, I asked if there would be a price adjustment since $269 seemed to be a primary labor charge. They looked at me in astonishment when I asked for the adjustment and said that there wouldn?t be any adjustments since it was fixed. We debated about the price and I asked what the pricing of the iris which was approximately $137. I came up with the solution to take off half the cost of the iris since I never received the new piece. I ended up paying $227.00. I have never dealt with a company so unprofessional and I haven?t been treated as a customer so poorly. The money is a moot point but the treatment of a customer from the very beginning to the end result was very poor. The attitude and customer service of this company needs to be worked on.
