Cornerstone Home Lending

We were referred to Cornerstone by a realtor. We were looking for a
specific type of loan and asked if Cornerstone offered this product.
They assured us that they did. 3 days before we were set to close we
were informed that they could not process that loan and tried to force
us into a loan that was $7000 more expensive. We had to change lenders
at the last second and did not get closed on time. They should have
been upfront and said they didn't do those types of loans. I will never
use or recommend them to anyone

This was my first home buying experience and first experience working with a mortgage company. Of the companies I dealt with initially, Aaron was the most responsive and helpful agent I spoke with by far. He walked me through the entire process and kept me up to date on developments as my file moved through the system. I really appreciated the updates as waiting days or weeks for the approval process can get stressful. Aaron was a true professional in every sense. Very honest, up front and easy to talk to. He came to my closing, which I understand many loan officers don't always do. I had a very positive experience dealing with Cornerstone Home Lending.

Mike was very professional and incredibly punctual. The communication was timely and accurate. MIke did a great job of putting together a mortgage for me and my wife in a very short amount of time. Thee whole process was free of stress and very encouraging. I knew that with MIke and Cornerstone, that I didn't have to worry about anything before walking into my closing. Even if you don't live in the Kansas City area you can still take advantage of Mike's professionalism. We purchased our home in St. Louis even though their office is in Kansas City.

Full disclosure: I've known Mike Kelly since grade school, which made it easy for me to feel like I could trust him. He's more than earned that trust in helping us with two loans now. John gave me a call after I had decided to go with another company. I agreed to let him at least quote me a rate, that rate was 0.5% less than what I was offered by the other company. I was shocked. John also recommended an insurance agent that quoted me a rate that was 2,000 dollars less than what I was previously quoted. John seemed genuinely interested in my welfare. He gave me the insurance broker's information out of the goodness of his heart, even though at that point I did not think I was going to use his company. He even offered to discount his costs for inspections if I could not get the deposit money back from the 1st company I was going to use.John regularly updates me on everything I need to know and has made borrowing money for this home stress free.I could not get the e-sign documents to work from BOKC. That was the only minor problem, but John then just scanned them to me to sign. He was also good about answering all of my nubbie questions.

They were really good. Their pricing was competitive. We would use them again if needed.
