I was extremely pleased - I had several major issues going on with my laptop and was unsure if it would start again. Dawn helped me - she called me multiple times with status updates and explained everything in simple terms. The laptop was fixed in a very timely manner at a reasonable price. This is the place I will go anytime I have issues with a device - great service!

My 5+ y/o Sony desktop died, but I thought I was OK because I do regular (but not daily) backups on my Seagate EHD. But when I tried to transfer my data to my laptop - nothing. Got a new EHD and took them both in to Computer Medics, and they were able to transfer all my data to the new EHD. The only downside was it took 3 days to get it all transferred because of the amount of data and slowness of the old EHD ... I guess.

Call to appt. lapse time was about 14 business hours for a home visit. I called because my CD player wouldn't play after I reinstalled Windows 7 (after uninstalling Windows 10). Robert, the company owner, was able to quickly identify and fix the issue. I've already forgotten exactly what it was...BIOS? something maybe. I also wanted help setting up an external backup drive. He did that and explained the features of my computer as it relates to ongoing backup. He also described additional options of cloud storage and took time to explain advantages and disadvantages. He also optimized for backup by cleaning out leftover Windows 10 files and some other stuff. In everything he did, he explained what and why and how. I really appreciated his expertise and how he was able to explain things to my somewhat savvy level of understanding. I can't say enough good things about him. Robert's background includes working in Army communications. He and his wife started this business 11 years ago.

They did not charge me. It went great. The pricing policy is good, if they cannot fix it they will not charge you.

My wife's Dell notebook would no longer start up. She does a lot of family history research, ancestry, and all her data was on that computer. I took it to these guys to recover the data from the hard drive and hopefully fix the computer. Well, they recovered the data from the hard drive! They could have fixed the computer, but the cost would have been more than the cost of a new one. I'm happy.

I recommended this business to a friend who was having problems with her computer.  They removed several viruses and programs that were unnecessary.  They were very knowledgeable and completed the repair in less time than estimated.  I would definitely recommend them to others.

Top notch repair center.  My computer is fixed and not without some real effort.
First this hard drive had been in to another computer repair place in Olathe 5 times for black screen.  They kept telling me it was a virus so I spent $500 over 3 years getting it cleaned.  This last time I took it to Computer Medics.  They cleaned it but when I had some further problems, they sent someone to my home to install a new driver and on the third visit, installed a card reader.  And for no additional charge except the price of the card reader.  These guys actually FIXED the PROBLEM and not just went through a procedure.  Love them.

So my computer died without any real warning the Sunday before finals week. After a very long week without my computer I took it to the Apple store to see if they could fix it. They told me they could but it would require a total wipe of my hard drive. I hadn't the chance to back up any of my data before it crashed (we are talking three years worth of pharmacy school notes!) and the man who helped me told me data recovery can get real expensive real fast and quoted me anywhere from $300-1200. He left me a name and a number of a guy who did data recovery but I went on Angie's list to see who had a high rating and lived closer to me. Computer Medics was so highly rated I had to give them a try, and I am so glad I did. I called them over the phone and they told me it would be $95 if the tech could get onto the computer and $175 if they had to use special software. I dropped it off Tuesday morning (they didn't even make fun of my n*** password) and by Tuesday afternoon they told me they'd be able to get 9 gb off of it. They offered me the choice to bring in a USB or they could buy one for me and add it to my tab. I brought one in on Wednesday and by Thursday morning my computer was ready to go. The staff at Computer Medics were very knowledgable and were able to answer my questions in a way I (a slightly tech-savvy person) could understand without feeling like an idiot. They even gave me a coupon to lower the already low price. Better yet, they were able to get EVERYTHING off my computer: all my notes and PDFs and pics, absolutely everything! And it was organized the way I originally had it organized on my desktop! Took the laptop back to the Apple store and they wiped the hard drive for free so a $300-1200 problem ended up only $85, plus it's like I have a new laptop but with all my old notes. I learned a very valuable lesson to always back up the hard drive, but best yet, I know exactly who to take my computer to for future problems! I'd recommend these guys in a heartbeat!

We were able to schedule an appointment just a few days after we called.  AJ arrived exactly on time and set to work solving the difficulties we were having with our computer.  He gave us numerous tips as to how to handle specific situations, when they arise.
AJ is very professional and extremely competent.  We will definitely call again when we have a problem.

Windows couldn't boot on our computer, which contained several years of photos & music compositions that we THOUGHT had been backing up on a weekly basis, but actually weren't.  Computer Medics backed up our data, repaired the problems, allowing Windows to operate again.  Our computer was returned with intact data and also backed up onto an external drive.  We were thrilled not to lose irreplaceable photos and compositions!  I would not hesitate to use Computer Medics in the future.
