CARL'S MAJOR APPLIANCE SERVICE

Service call was made on a Monday, service wasn't performed until Thursday. Original visit was to be from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday. Called me at 2:30 p.m. saying they needed to reschedule for the next day between 9-10 a.m. Didn't show up until 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Looked at the dryer for 15 minutes and said that it needed full electronics replaced in the dryer, a cost of approx. $500-600 to replace and 2 weeks to get the parts. I declined the repair and paid the service call fee, which was quoted as $69.95 over the phone, but $79.95 in person, because of the "type of dryer". What a joke! I asked him to look at the washer which vibrated a lot, he shook it and said that was about as good as it could get. When asked, he did offer good advice regarding future purchases of dryers, based on the service work he does on dryers/washers.

I called late in the evening and left a message on their voicemail. I received a call at work early the next morning, as I had requested. Working around my schedule, we arranged to meet at my house during my lunch break. He was right on time, went straight to work, got it fixed, verified all was okay and I got back to work within my scheduled hour.
