We contacted two closet remodel companies to obtain design ideas and quotes. California Closets was prompt in setting up an appointment, and the designer, Kelly, had many good ideas. She also was a good listener to both my wife and myself. About a week later we met in her office to review the design and pricing.
The second closet remodel company was slower to make an appointment and their eventual design was not as complete as California Closets, but the prices were almost the same. We elected to proceed with California Closets.
We finalized the design and price with Kelly, and arranged for tear out of the old closet contents and installation of the new closet contents. California Closets provided us with three large rolling hanging racks for temporary storage of our clothes during the tear out and installation process.
The tear out guys were fast and cleaned up well behind themselves. There were two days for us to paint the walls and trim and install new carpeting. On installation day, they were on time and worked nearly all day. They made some minor adjustments to the design while doing the installation. They also were missing a few accessories that were back ordered, but a few days later the work was completed. They also designed a special folding seat for the closet that works really great.
We now have a closet that uses the full height of our 10' ceilings, provided plenty of storage shelves for shoes and other items, a jewelry drawer, and the special folding seat. The workmanship was excellent and the installers easy to work with.
