Very pleased with John and his team of professionals. They arrived early to both appointments and put on shoe covers to protect the hardwood floors. They carefully documented all issues found, including many things we did not notice during the initial walk-through. They taught me what to look for, and how to maintain certain mechanicals. They identified some expensive problems, which helped us decide to reject one house and proceed with buying the second house. Afterward, the online written report was clearly summarized, easy to understand, and let me forward a copy to my realtor and the seller's agent for review.

John was great. I have never been through this process so had many questions. John helped educate me as he performed the inspection. He took pictures, video and gave me several demonstrations. Even weeks after the inspection, I had a follow up question, which he was able to speak on from his memory of the house. It was great working with John. He has many years of experience, and it shows. I would highly recommend calling him. He is certified for various inspections. I would happily call him up again, but he did such a great job the first time through, there hasn't been any surprises to call him back about :)

John arrived right on time and brought another colleague to speed up the process. I was very impressed with how thorough they both were and how much I learned along the way. They each took the time to listen to my questions and carefully answer them as we went along in the inspection. They also brought up several things which I would not have thought to ask. 
I was very impressed at the inspection report. I was sent an email with a username/password to access it.  There were many photos of issues/possible future issues as well as things like: "Here is the water shut off for the whole house. It is located..."
We have been in our house for a few months now and already we have run into some of the issues that John brought up as not urgent, but would need to be addressed. My wife and I have said to each other a few times after having a technician to the house that "John was right!"
I am incredibly pleased at the service we've received after our inspection. I have emailed John a few times since asking for recommendations for services like an electrician and chimney sweeping. He has been doing this for almost 20 years, so he has a great list of providers accumulated over the years.

As always, it went amazingly.  This was the third home I purchased that John Byron and his team have inspected for me.  I have referred him to anyone I know who is looking for a home inspector.  I would never look at purchasing another property without John Byron inspecting it first.  He is thorough and extremely knowledgeable.  He is willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job is done correctly and has an excellent list of contractors he can refer to for work that needs to be done.  We have had some bad experiences with other inspectors before so we know the value of a good inspection team and Byron Property Inspection is the best.

Couldn't have been happier.  John was very thorough in every aspect of the inspection.  He took pictures, made video and presented us with an extremely professional report that gave us the information we needed to go back to the seller and ask for the sub-standard items to be corrected.  John provided us with his contact number and offered to answer any questions we had... even after we moved in. 
We still contact John on occasion (even a year after we closed on the house) and he is more than willing to answer any questions he can.  We would (and have) recommend him to anyone in the market for a quality home inspection!

John and his team were excellent!!! Complete professionals, no question was not answered, They took the time to show us everything that we asked about. Even things were didn't. John was always available to talk before and after the inspection, to make sure that all our questions were answered, If we had concerns about something, he made sure they were addressed and handled. They were a joy to work with. His inspection report was thorough. They were on time and courteous.I would hire them again, no hesitations what so ever.

I highly recommended Byron Home Inspection.  John and Stan did a great job with my home inspections.  The inspection was through and included the roof, attic, structure, basement, electric, plumbing and heating and cooling system.  I most recently used Byron Home Inspection a second time when I found a second home. 
I attended the inspections in person, which I also recommend.  Not only were the big concerns identified allowing me to be fully informed and address them with the seller, but John and Stan also showed me how all the appliances, utilities, electric box, attic stairs, humidifer and HVAC worked and walked me through some good improvements for the future.  I was especially impressed with the energy saving recommendations. 
The end result was a computerized report detailing the condition of the property at the time of the home inspection, complete with pictures and a summary with recommended repairs.  I learned about my new home (where things are and how they work) and the components that are installed correctly and functioning as intended.  They gave me total peace of mind as a first time home buyer.

John Byron and Stan (a 2nd inspector) came to the house.  They were on time and ready to work.  John not only provided a mechanical inspection, but also can provide radon, termite and structural.  This is no quick inspection.  John and Stan were very, very thorough and caught so many things that we never saw in our few times through the home.  We all were raised with families who were building/construction/architecture trades and we thought we pretty much saw everything when we looked at this house, but we were mistaken and John pointed out so many things that just slipped right by us that we really needed to know in order to go into this transaction with eyes wide open.   John has been doing this for many years and you can tell is very experienced, yet also doesn't leave you completely freaked out.   He lets you know that everything is fixable and he has seen almost everything.  If you have ever had a quickie home inspection that didn't catch things that you later saw after you purchased a home, then you should have John Byron do the inspection.  Don't let a realtor talk you into a quick walk through by someone who is there to "protect" the sale of the home as I have seen in the past.  Hire someone who is working for you, the buyer, and without scaring you to death, will give you the real story of what you are going to come up against when you get into your new home.  We didn't want any surprises and we have found someone that we will recommend to anyone we know who is purchasing a home.
