Bill's Heating & Cooling

Central Air quit working. I called my plumber and he recommended Bill's HVAC. Called Bill and he came right over. Bill is a nice person, but I told him what I suspected the problem to be (unit was humming and I thought it needed a new run/start capacitor). That was the problem and Bill put in a new capacitor. It took him 10 minutes. When he presented the invoice for payment I thought it was a little high but I thought it was due to being an emergency (no AC in the summer is an emergency) so I paid the invoice willingly. I was happy with their responsiveness and asked them to contact me to setup a semi-annual maintenance program. Later, I reviewed the invoice and had the opportunity to talk to the plumber who was at the house for another job. Bill charged $275 for a simple run/start capacitor. His Labor was separately stated. I have personally purchased and installed capacitors myself and the most I have ever paid is $18, retail. My plumber thought the capacitor probably cost around $7. I do not know what Bill's cost is, but if it around $7, then he marked it up almost 3800 percent. That is why I am giving him the rating as shown. Especially the rating for professionalism. In my opinion, there is never a good business reason to markup the cost of a part to that degree; even in an emergency. As such, I will be looking for another service provider to do semi-annual maintenance on the HVAC system.

I use them for my heating, and cooling. I have them check both every year. The thing I like about them, is that they have instruments that detect carbon monoxide. They check it for me when they come out. I got a carbon monoxide alarm as well. I have been using them for years. My parents used them as well. They installed a new AC unit, and water heater in the past too. They send out a post card in the mail for their customers that tells you the cost, which is nice. It is also a reminder about scheduling your service, if you want that year.

I use them regularly and they are wonderful.

Bill and Billy did a great job.  They took exceptional care to make exact measurements so the vent, which they had to place in a tight space, worked out perfectly.  I felt their estimate/ price was fair, I felt comfortable having them in our home, and I felt they worked very well as a team.  I was very impressed.

They are a great company to do business with.

The job went very well overall. They are friendly and have good customer service. They get right in to service my heater or air conditioning system. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Bill's Heating and Cooling was able to respond and fix our air conditioner within one day. They make an appointment and they are always on time. They do the work that they say they will do and they clean up after themselves.
