We have written them to cancel the application and send us our $500 back.

We agreed to the terms on May 22nd. After that, I received multiple calls from a Loan Processor. She informed me she would send out a packet for us to sign. We waited for 3 weeks. During those weeks, we received multiple calls from this Loan Processor stating that as soon as we get the packet, we need to sign it and fax it. We waited and waited and then called the Loan Processor and she stated that it's not her responsibility to send the packet. It's the Loan Officer. I contacted the Loan Officer and told him what was going on. He said he doesn't have the packet. I told him we didn't want to work with the Loan Processor anymore as we were getting nowhere with the loan. We found out a few days later that the Loan Processor left Bank of America and that the Loan Officer would take care of us from that point on. We finally received the packet June 11. Initially, the Loan Officer seemed very excited and ready to provide this service for us. However, after receiving the paperwork I asked the Loan Officer to explain one of the forms and he informed me "it's just one of the forms you have to sign". On another note, I complained as the loan application listed my current job as having 2 years there. The Loan Officer told me that this is a preliminary application and that it would be too much work for him to verify my employment at my last two jobs. I said I was uncomfortable signing a document that was not accurate. I considered it unethical. He didn’t seem concerned. In order to get the process moving, I stopped arguing assuming I would get something else later to fill out that I could list my employment accurately. Other information was not accurate and no matter how many times I brought this up, the Loan Officer pushed it aside. Bank of America uses an automated system to receive your re-finance application and paperwork via fax. This system continuously loses content. We have faxed the full packet 3 times and partial packets 3 times over several weeks. We were assigned a new Loan Processor and so the promise from the Loan Officer to handle things was I guess, no longer valid. The new Loan Processor is so stuck on “process” that she couldn’t handle the simplest of requests. We wanted her to stand by the fax machine while we faxed the information in. We asked that she respond to emails instead of calling us during work hours. After the Loan Processor called my worked two times in a row, causing my phone to constantly ring and disrupting my co-workers, I called her back to tell her I am done with Bank of America. She took it as an opportunity to defend herself and tell us we don’t return calls. My husband has returned calls but she does not answer her phone after 5 p.m. She said she is there but then why doesn’t she answer? We get a message on our home phone the next day telling us to call her while we are at work. She knows we can't talk until after 5 p.m. What good is phone tag if nothing ever changes? MY experience was horrible.
