I was a first time home buyer looking for an 80/20 loan with no down payment or points. Wes had the lowest rate of the 5 places I contacted, but it turned out that he had added points, so his no points rate was tied for the best. I felt like that was a bit shady, but it was still equal to the best rate I found. He made up for it by getting me a lower rate on my second loan than any of the other competitors could after I bargained with him a little. One other thing that was a little frustrating is that he kept giving me a figure for the closing costs, saying it would be within $100 plus or minus. Well, it was $600 more than he quoted. I was expecting him to be underestimating, so I wasn't surprised, just disappointed that he was off and yet seemed so confident. I feel like he did a good job, and he worked hard to get us a good rate, so I would probably use him again.
