AARON RENTS INC

In 45 years of business, this company would be the most customer "unfriendly" place I have ever dealt with. They do not understand their customer.

The nightmare began on my initial visit to Aaron Rents in search of a simple short-term lease. In spite of advertising to the contrary, I was informed by my bully-some sales person that Aaron's would not rent to me for a period of less than 6 months. At the time that I signed the "obligatory" 6-month lease, I asked if I could pre-pay the total rental. My salesman told me that it was not permitted. I signed up for automatic monthly credit card payments instead. Every month for the next 5 months, I received a past due notice with a late fee in spite of the fact that my credit card had been debited with the monthly rental. Each time, I drove back to the store to try to resolve this billing issue. I'm not sure what I would have done if new manager, John Armstrong, had not come aboard during month 5 and helped me through the mess. Whether Mr. Armstrong can save this location remains to be seen; thankfully, he appears to be on the right track.
