A-1 Painting of South Overland

The painter was on time and did a better job than the builder's paint job. There were no mistakes. I supplied the paint because I knew who had the colors on file and it happen to be on sale..

Scott and his crew came out to paint the outside of the house and to paint the deck.  The project went smoothly and the paint looks great even a year later.  They were not the cheapest ... but you never want the cheapest!

I would highly recommend A-1 painting for exterior house painting.  They gave us a very fair price, showed up when they said they would be there, and assisted with picking out the colors for the home.  Their workers were polite, quick, and cleaned up after themselves.  After the home was painted they cleaned and scraped the windows and now our house looks brand new.  In addition they powerwashed our back deck.  Blair and Scott were easy to work with and always returned my calls and texts the same day.  Would not hesitate to use them again.

A-1 just completed the painting of our house.  I must say that I am thoroughly impressed.

Our house is beautiful, but that is only the beginning.  A-1 really went the extra mile in preparing our house for painting.  They used the best products out there to ensure that our house is protected for many years to come and that the paint job will last a long time.

I know there are people out there that will paint a house for less money, but I also know that they skip the important steps, that you can’t see once it is completed, to save money.  A few years down the road, you figure out that you should have spent a little bit more.  We just spent $15,000 to fix a bunch of wood rot that resulted from the last paint job not being done right. 

It seems that the thing that gets skipped to save money is priming and caulking.  That keeps the moisture out.  Of course, I did not know that was a problem until it was too late and the damage had been done.  I saved a few hundred on a paint job before and ended up paying thousands later because of it.  Not again, that is for sure.

Everybody that I interacted with at A-1 was great.  Blair made everything easy, from scheduling to paint color.  Tony and Sergio answered all of our questions and did a fantastic job for us.  You could really tell that Tony took a lot of pride in his work.  He explained why it was so important to do all of the work in preparing the house for painting.  It was crazy….  I mean every single nail and crack was caulked and every piece of wood was primed.  They even got the top of the chimney.  It was amazing!  I sure am glad that I went out there and talked to Tony when I did, because the very next day there was a beautiful layer of paint over everything.  I would have missed seeing all of the work these guys put into the part of the job I will never see again.  They also use the good stuff.  I mean they used caulk that has a 50 year life.  50 years!!!  That caulk will be on my house long after I am gone.  Amazing!!!!  But Tony said they use that just because they know that it will work for a very long time.  They could have used the cheaper stuff like some other guys, just to make more money, and I would never have known without talking to Tony, but I sure am glad that they didn’t.  It makes me feel better knowing that they used the best stuff money can buy. 

And you know the best part?  They guarantee their work for 5 years.  So, I know that our house is protected and beautiful and will be for a long, long time. 

Would I recommend A-1?  ABSOLUTELY!!!  The way I look at it, I am saving thousands in future repairs because I spent a little bit more getting my house painted the right way.  I wish I would have done that before.  If I had, I would have saved all of that money we just spent on repairs.  Now, that really hurt….  There are very few things that I have spent money on around the house that I feel have real long-term value.  A paint job from A-1 is one of those few things.  Don’t commit to a paint job from anybody else until you talk to A-1.  You will be glad that you did.

Very personable owners.  Met with me to discuss needed repairs and painting process. Very thorough walk through.  Provided me with contacts for carpenters and garage doors people (both of which were terrific).  Also met with me to help narrow down the paint choices, including back and forth from the paint store with samples.  Crew was very professional and neat.  The work was preformed quickly.  A final walk through was performed to ensure our satisfaction.  We were very happy with the results

Everything was fine. I think the price was good. It was less than what I paid when I had the house painted when I bought it which was 10 years earlier.

They were a hundred percent great and so was their price. They were on time and they did a wonderful job. They also recommended this great guy who came out and did the woodwork repair for us. They were of real good value and I was very happy with them.

The workers were fine. The work was done in a quick manner. I would use them again in the future.

The paint job looks really good. Even though the painter didn't seem very kept in order, the job looks good. The only thing was, he did paint our door the wrong color, but he came out a second time right away and painted the door the right color. The price was pretty competitive.
