1 800 GOT JUNK

I have used GOT JUNK twice this month to clear out an old house we are selling. Both times the crews called to let us know they were coming, showed up early and took care of things rapidly and efficiently. It was a pleasure to work with Javon, Jesse, Isaiah and Russell, who knew exactly what to do. Dependabilty is very important and worth a lot when you have a time crunch.

Told on the phone that the minimum cost for my area was $109 and a full truckload would be $584. Was told I was charged by space not time or type of material and the price would be told to me upfront. The first gentleman that came said it would be about 1/2 a trucks worth for 200 something but he didn't have he "chart." Asked to keep under 1/2 truck and let me know if it goes over. The load was under 1/2 truck as I looked down into from my daughters room. When it came time to leave another man brought the chart and said I was quoted at half a truck but would need to charge me the 1/2 bed price because my items were heavy. So much for not charging by type of material and upfront pricing. Very disappointing.

They missed first appointment but kept me informed and were prompt on second appointment. Was somewhat disappointed with respect to over the phone estimate. Was advised that minimum charge applies to 1/8th truck load. Found out that this generally is one refrigerator in volumn. (Truck is small). You have the option to refuse the service after you are given an on-site estimate.
Keep in mind that this is a moving, hauling and disposal service. Salvage value doesn't apply. I would recommend service for items that you can't readily move, haul and dispose of yourself.
Crew was professional and efficent.

They didn't take notes, no measurements. They tracked greasy mud down my stairs. They gave me a one line estimate with no detail. Over the phone they pressured me to sign a contrac to do the work on arrival and they didn't want to even come out to my home to do the estimate unless I would agree at that moment to do the work.  They said they would call me to set up the appointment and instead just showed up.
