Kevin York and his team we excellent throughout the entire process. We hit a couple snags with a rock ledge in the ground and a natural spring. They kept us informed along the way and were very fair with their additional charges related to these unforeseen issues.. We interviewed two other contractors prior to choosing York Pools and could not have been happier with our decision.

Kevin York is a Crook. He nickel and dimed us on every aspect of our job. He sent us a bill for over 5K months after the job was complete claiming work his company did not complete. He would have his workers install higher end items and then charge us for them even though we did not authorize the purchases. Now we’ve tried to get someone to come out and assist s with issues with are pool and they never show up. Buyer beware, steer clear of this company.

Hands down worst contractor I’ve ever worked with. Disorganized and unprofessional from day one. Regret doing business with Kevin York and Pools by York. Consistent issues with pool equipment and automation. Pumps, automation, auto level unit, app and you name it. Neither York nor his staff seem to know what they are doing. Despite setting and having the application provided by Kevin York reading 100 degrees, our spa/hot tub has reached temperatures exceeding 110 degrees on multiple occasions putting guest and young children in harms way. Actively looking for a professional pool & spa company to resolve our many issues.

From day one, the job site was a mess and disorganized. He is one of those contractors that will nickel and dime you. In addition, the pool was cracked by them during install and it took months to get someone out to fix it. Then he didn't supervise the concrete patio pour and it had to be dug up in several spots due to terrible work and uneven surfaces. Then we noticed more cracks in the gel coat and it took a year and several drainings to get someone out to fix that. Then he had someone finish the patch that didn't know what they were doing (from his company) and the pool ending up looking terrible with patches all over. We eventually gave up on York and found a professional company that did a great job repairing it although it was expensive. Then this week we found out why our heat pump already went out and the jets never worked right. A better company showed us that York had incorrectly installed the actuator so it ruined the heat pump and we never had proper pressure on our jets. Now another company has fixed it and it works better than ever! The $4,000 heat pump warranty was over but the manufacturer agreed to replace it since it was York's fault as long as we hired a different company to do the work from now on so we did. We hired Swim Things and they have done excellent work.
