Perfect! Mirror came off wall without breakage & was cut and mounted in frames and ready to pickup the next day (even though they told me it would likely take ~ 5 business days).

They did a lot of work for me when I first bought my new house. The staff is wonderful, the owner gave me a brand new bottle of cleaner. Very nice and helpful people.

Bob said they would custom cut to my measurements. I paid 25% premium to support local vs big box thinking customer service better. I picked them up and they were standard cut and not custom per my measurents give to Bob. I brought home with a truck borrowed and realized they were not cut to measurements. I called Bob Olathe Glass he just blamed guys in back and said I could bring them back, take another 90 mins out of my day, to correct his mistake. I asked him to come to me, he said no chance to busy. So much for customer service Scrooge Bob at Olathe Glass. I won't even get into the failing mirror you installed years back.

Everybody else we talked to for shower doors were made in China.  But for Olathe, their products are much more heavy duty, we got the thick shower door and they were actually made here in the state.  They have a lot better products.  They were very good people to work with.  I like their customer services; it is a small office and they were customer oriented office which is hard to find.  They were very informative and gave us different options.  We could have gone to a cheaper product but we like their products.  They were very good and professional.  They here when they said they will be here.  They were done when they said they will be done.  Everybody was very comfortable and it was a lot better product.  I will recommend them.

Great work and price--the communication could definitely improve.  When I went into their showroom, they were very helpful for selecting the windows.   My only gripe is that I had to keep after them about rescheduling the job (weather) and the glass order itself. They were not proactive about contacting me about the rescheduled work, or checking to make sure the glass they had to order for my job was in before my installation. I seemed to have to remind them.  The work, however, was very professionally done. The installers contacted me the day of installation. They were on time, very professional, friendly, quick, and careful. They did a great job, taking care to leave the site clean with a great looking set of windows for a good price.

DO NOT USE.  Unreliable and unprofessional.  I had window and screen damage from hail.  I should have known when they insisted they could not even give me a window of time for the estimator.  I had to wait the entire day and it took five minutes at about 4:00 that afternoon.  They scheduled the screen removal later that week, but the glass replacement for the windows would be a month.,  A MONTH!  The installer was very courteous removing the screens.  For the installation, I at least got a window of the entire afternoon.  When they showed up, they were very apologetic.  When they went to pick up the glass that morning, they discovered it had NEVER BEEN ORDERED.  The company didn't call me, was not apologetic, and had the installers tell me.  I insisted on a set time period for the second installation.  Again, they were late and I had to call.  Once again, "Oh, there's a problem, we were going to call you."  With two windows, one piece of glass was broken and they had to order again.  They installed the first window and it was another week for the second.  I insisted that I be the first appointment of the day.  Two hours later - no show.  Another phone call and was told I wasn't first but a window of time.  They didn't arrive until after the window of time.

As a full-time working single mother, their presumptions that I had nothing better to do than sit around all day and wait for them was unreal.  Then, to not own up to their own errors and rely on the installers to tell me instead of calling.  They should have called when the glass was broken and not wait until I was off work at home waiting for the installation.  I could have gone to work and had both windows installed later.  The installers themselves were very nice and professional - it's the office staff and the schedulers that were horrible.  I took five days off total.  That is uncalled for - and they never apologized.  DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!
Response from OLATHE GLASS CO INC
"The member was informed when she contacted our company that due to the catastrophic nature of this hail storm, we had over 300 calls in 2 days. We offered a 2 hour time window scheduled appointment, approx 3 weeks away, she wanted it sooner so we scheduled her on a day when we would measure for emergency situations where windows were broken completely out of houses, where we would call ahead a meet her. When we schedule this way we cannot give a 2 hour time window. All other appointments were 2 hour timed appointments. We did have some problems with glass, and did apologize. Our installers are our employees, (not subcontractors) they represent our company. If they apologize it is the same as our company apologizing, just as when they make a mistake it is the companies mistake. I am sorry for the issue we had with this particular job, but I feel that our 2 hour time window is very good for the nature of this business. We can not anticipate all of the issues that will arise during a job and sometimes they do run long. There is no way in this industry to set a specific time, there are too many variables. We do offer to call ahead 30 min for customers that want to leave work to meet us. It has always been our priority to make sure the work is done right rather that done fast. I am fortunate enough to have built a company that has a name for quality, that allows us to be booked out for 2-3 weeks. That is why we have been in business for 35 years. I do understand that it can be an inconvenience, but feel that it is less so than the inconvenience of a poorly done job. As for the response that you feel you paid too much, you also responded that we stuck to our bid (as we always do). Did you have other bids? Were we the lowest? I have had many other customers tell me we are very competitive on price."

We had our windows taken in, one was cracked, the other the seal was broken. They fixed everything, gave us a 5-year warranty, excluding labor. Which I don't understand what is actually warrantied in that case. They were very prompt, the supplies were in stock so the wait was minimal, and we picked it up within the week. On custom work they require pre-payment which makes sense to me. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Everything went fairly well. There was one issue with having to have one mirror moved but they took care of it without any problems. There were some handprints and pencil marks left on the wall. They did everything that I asked even wearing socks on the dance floor while installed the mirrors with which they complied.

When I got home, I plugged in the lamp and after 20 minutes I noticed a burning smell. Today, I took the lamp back to the store. They plugged it in for a minute and then said there was nothing wrong with it. I told them the burning smell starts after the lamp has been on a while. I also informed them of the other defective merchandise that I purchased last year and they said all defective merchandise is marked as such (not true for the items purchased last year). The lack of customer service, discounting and lack of concern for any safety issues left a really bad taste in my mouth for this store.

The mirrors and the glue-chip glass look fine. The workers were courteous and certainly knowledgeable about the installation task. If I had to offer any suggestion, I would advise Olathe Glass to have their worker's slow down on the installation process, make sure that the workers review the performed work with the customer to insure that all questions are answered before they collect payment and leave. It was obvious to me that the workers were in a hurry to leave, while I wanted to make certain that all of the mirrors were installed soundly. I have some doubt that the glue-chip glass was installed in the cabinet with the correct side exposed. The workers left before I ever had a chance to review all of their work.

I have a completely mirrored entry way. The mirror on the front door which opens was loose. Chris arrived within the 2-hour window of time I had been given. Turns out it was attached only by the doorknob, so it came off easily. He spread a tarp, was very careful, cleaned up as he went. I asked him to check all the mirrors in the house, as I have many. He did this willingly, gave me tips on what to look for in case I had further problems, explained to me where I would not encounter other problems. He found the loose closet door mirror, fixed that, also found a clip on a door mirror which needed to be redone as the hole for the screw was stripped, and fixed that. The estimate he gave me on site was $2+ less than the final cost, as he didn't expect me to be charged for the tube of glue. However, the final cost fell within original estimate given by the office, who also explained the process in detail to me before I hired them. Project went rapidly. Chris was pleasant to work with.

The company reps came out within 24 hours after I called to examine our cracked window and give us an estimate to replace the glass. The estimate to replace the 20X66 7/8" insulated unit was $93 and the labor to install was $75. It was not in stock, so it had to be ordered. It arrived within a week and the installation went well. No complaints whatsoever. Very good experience overall.
