My wife and I have hired NL Wilson on four separate occasions. For some reason the two most recent times which were 3 years ago and last week, respectively, were dramatically poor experiences relative to what we have previously come to expect. Both of our last two moves were nearly twice as expensive as we were quoted! When the movers finally left, after squeezing every last penny out of us, we had a number of nuisances due to their shotty work - including missing HDMI cables and power cables to hook up our TVs and PCs, washer and dryer that required a professional handyman to hookup properly at yet an additional charge because they refused for liability reasons, etc. Expect to be fleeced if you use this moving company and for a mediocre job done based on the low standards they are providing today.

In my opinion this was the worst case of business etiquette someone that a company could do for a client. NL Wilson initially did a very thorough job in estimating the cost and weight to relocate us. The movers were very friendly and took great care of our items. They ensured they were protected and both homes were protected from damage. Now to the truth of the matter. I called two weeks prior confirming the date and pickup as well as the delivery date and time. I felt the truck they might send would be too small based on some of the bulky items we had. They assured us that based on the information from the estimate, the truck would have plenty of space. Concerned, I sold a lot of our larger, bulkier and heavy items to reduce the amount of weight and space. The estimate was for 8000lbs our total was over 10000 lbs. Costing us another $800 in moving expenses. The best part of the story is the fact they left a 1/2 room of items. They provided me with no instructions, directions or contact numbers. I tried numerous times to call the office to find a solution. There was no answer and the office close at 5 pm. I was forced to rent a Uhaul, load my own items and take them to my new location. One owner called around 10 pm stating that they would reimburse me for the hassle, rental etc. When we arrived, they will not unload your items until you are fully paid. I voiced my concerns again and paid the quoted amount, waiting to be reimbursed for the extra hassle which was promised. Three weeks later with numerous email chains and phone calls, they decided they do not want to reimburse me. They look at it as a favor that they hauled more than the estimated amount. Everyone said they would have done the same thing. I felt the manager was disrespectful and showed no apathy. I would advise people to seek other movers and read the fine details they provide. I would never recommend them to anyone and would actually suggest avoiding them if at all possible.

Did a fantastic job in moving us. It took extra care of our furniture.

This was my first time using a moving company and I would say that they did a good job. We had a 3 bdrm, 2.5 bath house and it took them 4 hours to get a 26' truck loaded up and unloaded. They were nice enough to start assembling beds and such too, but for sake for time we just decided to do it ourselves later. They called us and arrived within allocated time on a Sunday. I haven't unpacked every box yet but no damages so far.

Professional, cautious, and polite crew. They were careful with not only how they handled the items, but the interior of the home as well. I would use them again.

They left the air pump to the sleep number bed, trim piece to freezer, lawn furniture (7 pieces). Did a good job on what they moved.

The movers were very nice but three of my boxes were lost.I thought I had hired reputable insured movers and I come to find out that they are only insured for $.30 per pound of your box and I was told their insurance company but only pay $22 for my three lost boxes. I was not made aware of that and giving a piece of paper to sign after I moved. The boxes that were lost contained at least 50 pairs of shoes I'm a hairstylist a bunch of hair acquit meant a rough estimate about $3000 worth of things. Had I have known the situation I definitely would have not hired them,they still have no answer for me where my boxes are nor are they willing to reimburse me for them I feel like this is extremely shady and bad business practice

I was very happy with the movers. The price was exactly as stated. The movers did a great job packing the truck and protecting our items. They were efficient and moved 2 very large items, a playset and a very heavy custom made dog house, without a grumble and I know they were extremely heavy and awkward. Thought they were very professional and would recommend them.
