Dr. Todd and his father have a lot of experience, and definitely know what they are doing. Prices are fair and reasonable. Easy recommendation.

I have recommended them several times to other people. I would continue to use them, it is the third dog I have had with them. They do good work. They are professional and yet very human.

I have been using them for over 20 years. They are good and professional. They are upfront with me and they take good care of my animals. They know me and know that I take good care of my animals. I go in there and I get treated like a person. I have recommended numerous people to them. I will continue to use them.

Dr. Knappenberger is amazing. We have seen three vets for our dogs constant head shaking and licking. Each time a new medication or ear rinse was prescribed. Dr. Knappenberger took time to listen to us and checked over our dog thoroughly. I estimate with were with him for at least 30 if not 45 minutes.

Two dogs received annual check up with updated shots. Did blood work on sick dog that had age related illness,
digestive problems as well as macular degeneration. Recommended a low fat food to change his diet to see if this would help with digestive issues. Very professional advising progressive medical approach.

Called and got in the same day. Everyone was VERY nice and accommodating. We had concerns about our 4 year old golden having some different behavior issues and wanted a second opinion. We wanted to rule out the physical before dealing with a behavior issue. The senior Dr. Knappenberger was great. He did a complete exam and checked blood and urine. He didn't find anything really wrong and didn't make us feel like we were being overly cautious or condescending in any way. Suggested a supplement that wasn't expensive and didn't pressure us into more visits and/or medications. He is old school and we appreciated it very much. We would recommend Father and Son team to anyone!

We just moved to Olathe from the Houston, TX area. I had no idea where to take my sweet lab but I saw his advertisement in our church bulletin. I took a chance with this vet and I am glad I did. My lab started limping about 2 weeks prior, right before our move. He went downhill quickly. I took him into see Dr Todd and he greeted us, listened to my description of what was going on, closely examined Chief, had us walk in the parking lot and up and down curbs. He already knew what had to be done but did not want to push me into it. He suggested many different therapies, increasing the medicines Chief was on, and taking an xray of Chief's hips and spine. His recommendation was to increase the medicine to the max and wait to see what would happen in 24-36 hours. If Chief got worse, he told me that I would know that I did everything possible for Chief and it would be time to put Chief out of his misery. 36 hours later, I was in his office where he gently put Chief to sleep. As Chief was relaxing before his death, Dr. Todd got on the floor with Chief and gently cupped Chief's head and spoke with him, then gradually straightened Chief's legs and body out. He allowed me to stay as long as I wanted. They had the information for cremation for Chief so it was easily ordered without a lot of grief. The staff and the Dr. Todd were fantastic. If I am fortunate enough to have another pet in my life, I will definitely go to Dr. Todd.

We have just moved to KS from NY with our 7 year old Collie. An acquaintance recommended Dr. Knappenberger - and I am forever grateful. From start to finish it was a pleasant, comforting experience. He examined my dog thoroughly, manipulated his legs, checked his eyes, ears, skin, heart, teeth...the works, top to bottom. He listened carefully to what I described, then had us go outside and watched us walk around in different directions to check his gait.
He then said that while we could do an x-ray, he didn't think it made financial sense. There was no sign of anything except arthritis and while an X-ray could confirm or localize it, there is nothing to be done about it anyway except control the pain and inflammation.
He suggested a couple of medications, gave me as full information as I could comprehend about each one - how it works, what the side effects are, why and how to use them and for how long, and he described his experience with them.
I felt like he was working WITH me, I never felt rushed, and the questions I asked were answered fully and seriously.
He was kind and caring - but without being sentimental. I feel confident that we are in very good hands.

It went perfectly.I was worried about the seeping growth my cat's skin. She is 10 and I was afraid for her. Kitty was relaxed, Dr. was patient and kind to both of us.. He removed the growth in 5 minutes. The big growth on her skin is gone. Kitty is fat and happy. I am relieved.

I was so worried that the Dr. could have asked me to leave her there for tests and surgery and charged me hundreds of dollars. Instead, he did the simple operation immediately for a small fee.

I have tried many veterinarians over the years. Two friends referred me to Knappenberger. I am so lucky to find these Doctors who put the welfare of my pets first.

A different vet was busy selling me dog toothpaste and forgot to tell me my new shelter dog was underweight. Dr Knappenberger explained the dog's condition to me.

When one dog sprained her wrist, she was limping and her wrist was swollen. She got an appointment immediately.

The same for my other dog who got his face stung outside. His face swelled up hugely and I was afraid. Again, the doctors saw him immediately and gave the medication that made the dog better right away. The doctor could have charged me three times what he did.

Once I was willing to pay the Doctor to clip the dog's nails. Instead, he showed me how to do it.

Dr. Knappenberger is an old school veterinarian. He is an animal lover, but won't try to sell you a ton of stuff you don't need. He won't try to sell you a health wellness program that is a waste of money and he is fast and efficient during office visits. His prices are reasonable and the small town feel of his office environment will make you feel more secure about leaving your pet in his hands.

This is my new Vet. I got a shelter dog last year. A different vet at another clinic was busy selling me dog toothpaste and forgot to mention the the dog was 25% underweight. I got Dr. K's name from a friend. She loves the Dr.s at this clinic.. Now, so do I. My dog is comfortable there. She is healthy and happy. My second shelter dog is thriving as well. The pet's health comes first at Dr.K's clinic.
