Before Ken, we had previously had another real estate agent who wasn't getting the job done, so we switched to Ken.  Ken and Randy, his associate, were very realistic in telling us what our property was worth, and the property sold at the exactly the price they stated would be required to move it quickly.  They also knew that market much better than our prior real estate agent.  They are excellent professional real estate agents, with a lot of resources to help get deals done.  Ken seems to be particularly savy in using the internet to help market properties.  Highly recommended.

First thing to say, we are very thankful to find such a superb real estate agent as Ken Jansen. We found him on Angies list, he had excellent reviews and solid recent sales track record. For us, we were looking for real estate agent who could sell our house at acceptable for us price, relatively quickly in a very tough recession-ridden housing market. We also moved to Colorado due to the job transfer, so we needed the agent who was able to work with us long-distance , who was also very comfortable in using technology in daily communication with clients and knew the value of customer service. The real estate agents we interviewed before disappointed us with no return phone calls, poor follow-up, poor understating of our needs, they just wanted to get our listing, get our business, but had nothing really to show for it. That is where Ken really distinguished himself. He offered us comprehensive marketing plan where he showed how he planed to sell our house. He conducted detailed market research to determine the right price for our house. We discussed the sale process, and work pretty extensively on determining the optimal asking price for the house that should sell it in a timeline we wanted. We did a lot of prep work before the house officially went on the market. Ken had developed his own program on how to market the home in the most effective way and generate interest in the house from day 1. We worked with Ken to follow his program and our house was shown every day it was available on the market (not under the contract), and I am not exaggerating. Most importantly, Ken showed us what good customer service really is in real estate business. Ken step us through the whole process from feedback from other agents on house showings to navigating not easy process of offers and counteroffers, inspection negotiations and closing. The questions were answered, phone calls were returned and issues were always addressed promptly. The sale of the house was not an easy one, the market was overcrowded and real buyers were few and far between. We had a difficult potential buyer who was so difficult that the sale process was looking like a bad deal for us. We declined his offer in a world of ? few buyers? and Ken supported our decision 100 percent. One week later we had another solid offer on the table that we later on closed on. Every time we had issues come up, I felt that Ken was always on our side, and looking out for our best interest. That is the difference between average real estate agent and a very good one, when it is a very good one you not only have a person who is looking out for your best interest but also a person who can move the sale process forward and close the deal. We sold the house within 2 % of our asking price in 32 days, had 3 offers and that is all in tough housing market where a lot of houses simply do not sell. If you are looking for a real estate agent who can close the deal, Ken is the one.

It went very well. Ken is a very responsive, seasoned real estate professional and very pleasant to work with. He is not a pushy salesperson. With his guidance we were able to sell our existing home at about 95% of its asking price and purchased our new home well below its original asking price.

Ken's advice was invaluable during the contract negotiations and buyer's inspections. Not only does Ken know the Kansas City real estate market but he's a great guy!

Ken did an outstanding job representing us as we bought our new home. He is a terrifically warm and caring person who immediately connected with us. We felt as if we had bumped into an old friend the first time we met with him. We really felt we could trust him to keep our best interests in mind. As a professional, Ken was top notch. He did a great job of uncovering the things we were looking for in a home and then providing us details about certain styles of homes that we had never even thought about. He had a great background working with builders so he new the ins outs of new construction as well as existing homes. As we looked at homes he explained every detail of things we should consider about each house to make sure we could make the best decision possible. His work ethic was superior. Never missed a meeting with us, never failed to return a call quickly, or email in a timely fashion. He gave us very sound advice when it came time to deal with the seller s agent and helped us negotiate from a true place of power that resulted in us getting a dream home for a great price!

Ken Jansen leverages technology to gain an edge in the search process. He provided online listings and communication with us. In addition, Ken electronically mapped our search route to make efficient use of our time. As we selected a home to make an offer, Ken provided a Competitive Market Analysis that graphed comparable sales in the area. This analysis further broke down square footage, price and other variables. The data doesn't lie! Our offer was accompanied by Ken's research which resulted in the seller accepting and requiring them to bring $27K to the closing table. My wife and I were able to buy an incredible home thousands below the asking price with Ken's diligence and experience.

Ken Jansen is a very professional Real Estate Agent. He has a very good knowledge of the Kansas City real estate market. Ken's suggestion to ''tour homes'' and view the competition was one great idea. We were able to see homes in the area of ours and also in a similar price range. This provided us with the proper insight to marketing our home. Ken's recommendations on how to arrange the house was very helpful. His marketing plan of photos, web page, and video were all professionally completed, and the final display products gave a favorable light to our home. The entire process (of getting situated to sell) seems to take a long time in preparation. In retrospect, it was just good planning on Ken's part. I would have never guessed that the market is only a 2-week window for initial home viewing. The 2-week window was all it took, and we had an offer on our home and made a successful closing. I would recommend Ken Jansen to anyone who is listing their home for sale.

The sale of my home could not have been better. This was the first time Id ever sold a house and I had to sell in a buyers market, so I was (of course) a basket case. After finishing up my postdoctoral fellowship I was offered a job in KC. In North Carolina, I wanted to buy a home prior to moving.
