I contacted David Gedminias by telephone and he gave me a tentative bid from just my description of the work.  I emailed photos of the two pieces to him and he promptly responded with a firm bid which matched his original verbal estimate.  He was my first of four bids.  I was familiar with the quality of David?s work because my parents had used him about 12 years ago on an insurance restoration claim, so I really wanted to go with him, but since both my rocker and chair also needed re-upholstry work in addition to stripping, re-gluing and refinishing I got bids from other Angie?s list providers that did all those services in house.  In the end, I chose to go with David because he linked me up with a fellow that he recommend that did upholstery and I couldn?t be any happier!  My costs for both services were just a bit more than ½ the cost of the other refinisher/upholstery shops bids and I have gotten nothing but compliments on the quality of both the refinishing & upholstery jobs.

David is a delightful fellow and makes sure that he has done everything to make you a satisfied customer!  I would recommend him without reservation.

I was so surprised at how well he repaired and refinished my family heirlooms I almost cried! Easy to talk to, quick to respond and work completed in a timely manner. They take pride in what they do. This is an exceptional craftsman. He repaired a split seat and water damage on a century-old Windsor chair that belonged to my grandparents and refinished a wooden chair I picked up at Designers Consignment. From the initial call to pick-up this was a terrific experience. The quality of his work is superb. Prompt, professional, and reasonable. We will definitely use Gedminas again!

.My mother in law gave us an antique secretary desk that has been in the family for 80 years. It had been abused and left in front of a sunny window for over 20 years. It was faded and scratched and in very bad shape. I was told by many people to just paint it, that it couldn't be restored. I called Gedminas and Son and emailed pictures. He called me right back and said he thought it was a gorgeous piece and worth restoring. I delivered it to him that afternoon. Upon inspection, he again said it was a beautiful piece and worth fixing up. Fast forward to 4 weeks later. I went to pick up my desk. It was absolutely gorgeous! I never expected it to look this good. My husband and my mother in law are thrilled. I highly recommend them and will use them again!

I dropped off the coffee table a couple weeks ago. They gave me a reasonable estimate and said it would be ready in a couple days. Unfortunately my schedule prevented me from picking it up in a timely manner and they were very understanding about it and accommodating to my schedule. They charged me the amount of the estimate and helped me load it into the car. They were very professional and courteous.

Very good experience. This father and son team are highly skilled and take pride in their work.

They are reasonably priced for the work that they do. I would absolutely use them again in the future and I highly recommend them to everybody.

I inherited the top half of a Hoosier cabinet in terrivle shape. It had been my grandfathers and I recall it in his house, but more recently it had been used for garden supplies in a garage. My uncle raved about a business which had restored his wife's organ. I gave them a try and the results were terrific. He took special care with each step and even emailed. Me the new latches next to the old ones so I could see and approve without making a special trip.

The service and final product were excellent. Mr. Genminas explained exactly what he was able to do, the cost, and when it would be completed.
