August 21, 2013 signed contract to paint house. On Sept. 14, 2013, signed contract for deck demo and haul, installation of new deck. On Sept. 21, 2013, paid initial $8,000 deposit by Cashier's Check to cover paint and deck materials. The deck was removed in October 2013, but the painting did not begin until late November 2013. There were many delays in the painting project due to the cold winter weather and lack of personnel to perform the work, the painting project has continued throughout the Spring of 2014. During the painting project we continued to pay for additional paint and materials to replace wood rot. There are still issues and mistakes to be corrected on the paint portion of the project. The deck materials have never been delivered to our home. We were told by Home Depot personnel that the materials for the deck were never ordered because the contractor did not pay for them. In January 2014, we selected a prefab shed sold by Home Depot called Northwood. We paid our contractor, Trent Jordan for the shed, but he has not delivered all the materials. He brought some lumber and trusses to our home, but they have been sitting outside since January 2013. We have been told by another contractor that the materials we have are not for the prefab shed, just various pieces of lumber. Trent Jordan made a weak attempt to create the 10'x14' concrete base for the shed, but the concrete is trash because it was improperly mixed and only a third of the base was poured. To date we have paid Trent Jordan $16,480.00 for paint, labor, deck materials and a prefab shed, with only a painted house to show for it.
