2.5 stars. Note: I personally know 2 other customers that have had the same experience as me. So this is a pattern and likely what you will experience. I found this out only after signing a contract however. I think you should find another firm for new pool construction. Generally, an unpleasant experience. The final product is done with quality, but the project management, communication, and organization are extremely bad. You are on the hook for electrical and, for the higher end configurations, I am not aware they know how it works. You will get incorrect info, old info, or no info. I simply got lucky having the auto cover company being there with my electrician. I don’t think it would ever have been correct without that happy accident. Expect to work from home often as they will keep going without consulting with you or aligning with you and may consider charging for changes. You will never know what is going to happen and what is left. There literally is no plan. As a customer, expect to be the project manager as no one else will. I suggested a 5-10 min discussion on what would happen each week would go a long way and the Owner felt that was just too much work for his team. I have it in an email We have an aesthetic flaw in the concrete and was directly related poor communication and planning. So, we are stuck with it forever. In addition, the automatic liner install was a mess like other steps as there is no one around from KC pools when the subcontractor discovered and issue. The installer told me what they would do and that was the opposite we got from KC Pools. 2 months before the pool was to be hooked up and turned on for the first time, they asked for final payment before contracted items were done. I fought them a bit but gave up and paid just so I didn’t have to deal with them anymore. Oh, and the contract says they will “machine grade” the area as one of the last steps. This is really just dumping dirt surrounding the pool deck. You will have to pay someone to actually grade it. Add and actual real grading of the dirt to your project with these guys. Crazy but true. From what I can tell, this company was purchased a couple years ago, and they don’t seem to have the same reputation as the prior owner. So don’t go by older reviews or personal feedback before that. This is clearly a different company in a bad way. They have either over bid what they can do without chaos or don’t know how this stuff works at all. I don’t know which it is. Find someone that will focus on the process and is willing to plan, and you will have far less stress and headache. It’s a very expensive investment and should not be this hard.

We purchased a 30 X 15 above ground pool with a 30 year warranty as the years passed parts needed to be replaced, liner, pump deck carpet at first they were great, good service, help with small repairs, etc. But now that the pool is older they want nothing to do with us, the lady manager told us they will not help us find replacement parts and we were told not to contact them again as they will not provide parts for us to keep the pool going, the warranty means nothing.
