He came soon after we called. He took the outside unit apart to diagnose the issue. He did not replace all of the screws to the unit and just left them lying next to the unit. He also left his water hose, which he busted, on our lawn. If felt like we were being pressured to purchase a new unit. The regulator and freon were overpriced according to several contractors we've spoken with since the incident occurred. Also, he informed us that we need to replace not only the air conditioner but the furnace as well. The other contractors we've had look at the unit to give us a bid have all said that our furnace was in great condition and didn't need to be replaced. The bid that Denny's gave us was much higher than any of the other bids we've received. We have decided to go with a more efficient model for a much cheaper price ($1500 less) than what Denny's quoted us.

3 1/2 years ago they installed the unit. 2 years ago it started making a loud vibrating noise. Since the warranty had expired I had to pay for a service call and take off work unpaid to meet the "technician" who spent a total of 10 min evaluating the problem. He assured me the unit was operating correctly, said there nothing to be done about the noise and pocketed my check. Since that time, the noise has gotten louder to the point where it wakes me from sleep in the middle of the night in both heating and cooling modes. 4 1/2 weeks ago I called them again, had to wait a week for the repairman to show up, had to take more time off work unpaid to meet him (different technician), and had to pay for the service charge. Again, he took a total of 10 minutes to evaluate the problem. This time I was told that a part needed to be ordered from the manufacturer which would replace a faulty part that was installed with the unit that I initially paid for. At present, the unit has not been fixed, neither has the tech nor his company called me to tell me the status of the my order. So $4,400 for the new system, and $200 in service calls later - that resulted in nothing being done, I still have a very noisy heat pump and no idea of when Denny's will be back to fix my problem. F-!

Not well. Not only did i get stuck with a $359 bill that fixed absolutely nothing, but i had to go to another plumber, pay him to take off the new part and actually fix the problem. Turned out to be very expensive.
