The job was done wrong. At least one downspout piping was not installed far enough away from the house which causes water to back flow and pool close to the house. All three pipes had elbows installed on the drain end which leaves water in the pipes after a rain, there is no place for it to drain into the ground. A "T" fitting should have been installed on the end in a hole with gravel so the water can drain into the ground. My landscaper told me the two drains in front should be further from the house. Matt got angry when I contacted him and mentioned the landscaper. He wanted more money to correct the job. If he had installed "T" fittings properly instead of the incorrect elbow fittings, I would not have rated the work so badly. At least then the pipes could drain after a rain. Now I have three pipes with standing water after a rain.

Everything went well. This job was sub-contracted by a roofer who was doing a tear off and replace on our roof for an insurance claim. I had a few concerns and questions about the gutters so I called the roofer and he called Matt. Matt called me and came by to hear my concerns. He explained a few things which left me confident that he knew what he was doing and my concern was unfounded. He also agreed to make an adjustment that I requested. I also asked his advice about something and he volunteered to do that for me for no charge. I would recommend Matt to anyone. He is honest, trustworthy and genuine. He does excellent work and stands behind it. I was not here when the work was done, I was at our other home in another state. My wife was here during the work which was done last fall. I returned in the winter and inspected the work when the weather improved. Matt responded quickly when he was told I had concerns about a few things. Had I been here during the work Matt would have addressed the issues then and there would have been no need to have him come back.

One year later, June-July 2015, Matt was contacted three times by the roofing contractor at my request. Matt told me he would come back to redo attachment of downspouts. I also had another small job for which I would have paid separately. It has been over two weeks and I have not heard from Matt at all. Initially Matt responded quickly. Now, a year later, I have had no response from Matt.

I must retract the above followup statement. Matt called me the next day and came by to discuss my issue. He told me what he was going to do to fix the problem. He is going to go far beyond what is needed to correct the issue and not charge me for a very expensive solution. He didn't get back to me right away because of an overload of work. Matt does excellent work for a very fair price. Given that, he is very busy because everyone wants him for their jobs. Therefore, I stand by my initial assessment of Matt and his work. Being pressed for time myself, I spoke too soon about Matt's delay in contacting me. My apologies to Matt and all.
