Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Service
At first I thought things were going well. I called the office and made an appointment for them to come out and they were prompt with their response and came out the next day. I did not receive a written estimate only an estimate over the phone. They arrived at my house a half hour after they were supposed to arrive and failed to notify me that they had shown up. I looked out my window to find a back hoe in my front yard. They proceeded to come in and out of the house without giving me any information as to how things were going or what was being done. I had to go to work and had no one to stay and wait for them to finish so a few hours in I left and explained to them that I wanted them to call me if there was a question and to let me know how things were going. A few hours later I received a phone call that it looked like the work being done at my house was finished. I still hadn't heard anything from the plumber so I decided to call him. He informed me that they were almost finished. I expected a phone call within the hour and never received it. A few hours later my children came home and the plumbers had since been long gone. I still hadnt received a phone call. I called the office once again and spoke with the receptionist and she informed me that it wasnt their policy to call the customer and let them know what was happening with their repairs. I found that odd, and I still did not receive any paperwork that required my signature. I asked about a warranty on the repairs and was given a shady response of maybe a year. I came home that night to find my yard in complete disarray. The dirt had not been evenly spread across my yard, the rocks that they moved were not put back in place, there were back hoe tire tracks all over and there was mud all over my sidewalk, porch and inside hallway. I received the final bill in the mail and even though it was less than what was originally quoted, I still had questions about the labor hours. I once again called the office and was told that I was being charged from the time they left the shop, which was an hour and a half before they arrived, to the time they arrived back at their shop, which was well after they had left my house. I understand that extra time is required to load parts and things like that but they also charged me a trip expense charge. I basically paid the trip expense and labor for them to drive 15 miles. I tried to get an explaination for that as well and again was given an excuse that this was how things were done. In the end unfortunately I gave up the arguement and the company received their money. My yard still looks terrible as I work 2 full time jobs and just don't have time to fix it myself. Thankfully the only good thing that came out of all this was that the job was done. My drains are working but if I had known that this is how I would be treated, I would've definately found another company to do the job.
