When we moved in, the stove was covered in grease and was missing knobs. I noticed the stove did not work while I was cleaning. It's a gas stove that would not ignite. We contacted our landlord, and she told us light it with a match. I explained to her it was a solid state ignition and doesn't use a match. I requested she have an appliance repairman come check out the stove and fix it. Three weeks went by without a repairman showing up. I eventually purchased a new gas stove because I could not go any longer without having one. Our landlord was present when the new stove was being installed. The person installing it checked out the old one and said it was beyond repair. Our landlord  at that time advised us to haul the stove to the trash. It cost me $335 for the stove and installation. They've made no attempt to reimburse me for the stove, and I hope they know I will take it with me when I move out.

On January 11, my kitchen sinks were plugged up and leaking on the floor. I called our landlord and no one answered the phone. They did not have their voicemail set up, so I couldn't leave a message. Since this was an emergency, we contacted a plumbing company to come out and make the repairs. While the plumber was at our house, he explained that they'd already diagnosed these problems for this property two times before I moved in. He could tell no efforts were made to fix them. It cost me $415 for parts and labor. They've made no attempt to reimburse me for the stove.
