We are a new company servicing the Kansas City area. Our main goal and focus is to provide contractors in the area with a quality continuing education experience, at a more convenient time. We will focus primarily on holding continuing education courses in the evenings and on weekends. We have found that most contractors prefer to get the required educational hours fulfilled outside of their workday, as it does not take away from their income. Number of employees:1-5

Overfertilizing can burn and kill the grass as well as upset the soil's nutrient balance, leaving your grass prone to disease and infestation. Putting too much lime on your lawn can change the soil's pH level from acidic to alkaline. While grass doesn't do well in acidic soils, an alkaline situation can be just as detrimental to its health. Alkaline soil blocks the grass's ability to absorb vital nutrients necessary for survival. If you apply too much lime, you can reverse the effects over a relatively short time by applying commercially available products designed for the purpose or by adding compost to the soil.

The most effective way to eliminate quack grass without killing the grass nearby is to overseed the area, keep the seed wet until it grows, mow often, and regularly fertilize the area to promote healthy grass that can choke out the invasive weed.

A lawn that suddenly and quickly turns yellow is typically the result of a dramatic change in the grass's environment. Heavy rainfall can dilute soil nutrients, rapidly yellowing the grass, and dull lawn mower blades can dry out and damage the grass in a short time. Over-fertilizing can yellow a lawn within a matter of days. 

If you apply too much fertilizer to your grass, it can take about three weeks to recover. If you still have dead patches after three weeks, it might be time to remove the dead grass and overseed the affected area. Since overfertilizing can also cause problems with fungus, leading to further damage to the grass, monitor your grass color and growth for one month after over fertilizing.
