WILDCAT PET RESORT
About us
All of our runs are indoors and climate controlled. We go out for walks a minimum of four times a day. The dogs go out in groups- according to size, energy level, age and temperament. The first three walks are for about twenty minutes, weather permitting, and the last walk is a five to ten minute potty break prior to bed time. The walks are at 7:30am, 12:30pm, 5pm and 9pm. On nice days, we like to have the dogs with more energy stay out for as much as possible so they can play and not have to be cooped up all day. The runs are in three basic sizes. Our single runs are either 24 inches wide or 30 inches wide, 4 feet deep and 6 feet tall. These runs have a bench that we can have down so they have an elevated bed to lay on, or we can raise them if they have a larger bed to lay on. Our other run size is our double, generally used for dogs from the same family. That size is 6 feet wide, 5 feet deep and 6 feet tall. We feed the dogs in the morning (8am) and in the evening (6pm). If you have a different feeding schedule, we are happy to follow that. We give out treats in the afternoon. You are welcome to bring any toys or bedding that your dog might need during their stay. We recommend that first time boarders bring a towel that has been used or a t-shirt that has been worn by the owner recently. The smell of Mom or Dad really helps to relieve anxiety. We do require vaccinations to be up to date prior to your pet's visit. They will need to be current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. For the kitties, we have a room in which they have total freedom to roam. they each have their own large crate to spend the night in and they are free to roam the counter, cabinets and shelves around the room during the day. In the event that someone doesn't get along with the others, we will let them out in alternating times so everyone can get a chance to do their kitty stuff. The cats, once acclimated to their new surroundings, actually get along quite well. They are in a room that the staff travels through frequently, so they get lots of people time too. We feed in the morning and evening. Litter boxes are checked and cleaned three times a day. We provide the dishes, litter boxes and litter. Like the dogs, cats do well their first time if they have something that smells like Mom or Dad during their stay. Vaccination requirements for cats are Rabies and Distemper. If they are an indoor/ outdoor cat, they will need to be current on Feline Leukemia as well. Doggie daycare is an excellent option for new puppies, or high octane poochies. You can drop off your dog starting at 7:30 and need to pick them up by 6:30. You can have them stay for a full or half day. Daycare kids will get to play a LOT with the other daycare kids. Puppies can learn dog manners and get used to being around people that are not from their normal pack. Just drop them off and we'll wear them out! Doggie Daycare is available Monday through Friday. Weekends and Holidays by appointment. Another option is dog walking or home visits. These need to be set up on an individual basis. Contact Michael for more information. We are bonded and insured for your protection. For pet grooming, our sister company Bark Avenue Canine Designs can get that done for you. From a toe nail trim to a full doggie spa experience, they can get you what you need. Call them at 785-565-0612 to set up an appointment.

Our dog now visits weekly to see his friends and to get a nice bath. He loves being there so much, that he often resists leaving. We trust Wildcat Pet Resort and recommend them without hesitation.
