First, I'd like to say I used this company once before. For that time they were excellent. I put them in the trust category of local businesses. This last encounter erased all of that. I do not view them as trustworthy any more and will not use them again.
A storm with very strong winds on the morning of June 5, 2015 blew water around the sealant of our front doors and windows. In addition, it soaked an area in the attic through a vent. I called them because of a previous relationship. They showed up early in the morning. The tech used a water sensor tool to check the walls and floor and the sensor showed extreme water saturation. He told me I was looking at over $2.5k of damage. Since this is over my homeowners deductible, I called my insurance company while he went in the attic to check the damage there. When he came back in, we talked and he called others from the company because of the size of the job. During our waiting he set the water sensor down. It went off when placed on a dry table. It showed the table was totally soaked. This made no sense to me. It seemed the sensor was broken. When the other crew showed up, they used their sensor. It showed very little water saturation. The job in the living room just went down from needing 3 blowers and dehumidifier to 1 blower and dehumidifier. Talking with the other tech it was revealed that the company knew that sensor was broken. I based my decision on hiring them and opening an insurance claim on an instrument they knew was bad and used anyway. I cancelled my claim because the $$ amount was now only half my deductible but it is still in the system showing I opened a claim. That really p***** me off. I talked with management at the company and told him I gave him the benefit of the doubt that they were not trying to defraud me. But I found it extremely unprofessional that they did not take care to ensure that tool was not used until fixed.
Then when the bill came they screwed up again. They tried charging me for equipment that was not used. I thought they would at least be careful with my bill since I was suspicious already of them. I'm glad I went over the bill in detail.
They can perform the service but I recommend getting a second quote from someone else and watching them like a hawk.
