Laura did a fantastic job evaluating our kitchen and developing a concept that was both modern and timeless. It integrated perfectly into the rest of our home without having to make changes elsewhere. She was diligent, prompt, and always had a great attitude.

My husband and I wanted to update our master bathroom and got a couple of bids from remodeling companies. I soon realized that I needed more than "tell us what you want to do and we will provide the service"; I needed assistance from a designer. I needed Laura! After asking me what my vision was, she was able to look at the space and make recommendations & suggestions to come up with a plan that we were thrilled with. I had complete confidence in her from the first day she stepped into my house. Laura went shopping with me to select everything for the job & she made me feel comfortable with every decision. She has a great crew of service providers (tile, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, etc.) that I would recommend to anyone. Laura coordinated every aspect of the job so it was done in a timely manner and we had very few days where nothing was happening. She stayed in close communication with us throughout the project and was on top of everything. Our bathroom is beautiful and we are 100% happy with the results. It was easy to give Laura Suhr 'A-Grades' across the board on this rating. Not only would I recommend her to anyone needing design assistance - she is a professional - but she is also a kind, sweet person that wants nothing more than to have her clients happy with the results of her expertise.

Laura was friendly, professional and welcomed our input. She did a great job keeping us informed throughout the project, and her rates were reasonable. In the end, we were very pleased with the results. We would highly recommend Laura, and we intend to use her again for future projects.

Laura made the project so easy for me considering that we gave her a very tight time frame to work in. She was always very prepared for our meetings together and usually pulled several samples for me to choose between. The best part was that Laura and I always saw eye to eye on everything! And she sometimes pushed me outside of my normal design aesthetic and those are the items/furniture I love the most. We live in a small, private community where everyone knows each other's houses. Our friends are so amazed when they come visit and see the changes that we made. I recommend Laura to everyone!

Laura gave expert advice every step of the way and her eye for design is second to none. The final product was even better what I envisioned and she was able to keep everything within my budget. Highly recommend for future projects!

All went well.  Laura helped with our decision making paralysis and offered great ideas and recommendations.

We needed help to in selecting new color schemes and furniture styles for our new house. Laura was great to work with because she really listens to you to understand your preferences and wants. This resulted in her design suggestions and ideas being what we wanted and not necessarily the 'in' design that could be taken from a magazine.

I highly recommend Suhr Interior Design. Laura Suhr has a great eye for design and detail. Both times, she worked within my budget. When it was time to update my outdated kitchen, I started to go it alone. I bought backsplash tiles I loved and ordered quartz countertops that I thought went with the backsplash. A day after ordering them, I started having doubts and contacted Laura @ Suhr Interior Design for help. Laura helped me choose a different quartz countertop that was a much better match to my backsplash, saving me from making an expensive mistake! After that she helped me choose paint colors for the kitchen cabinets, fireplace, walls in both the kitchen and family room and a custom color stain for my hardwood floors. Everything turned out beautifully!

She has since helped me pick out furniture and fabrics for my family room and now we are starting to work on other rooms in my house. I?m amazed at her ability to so easily put together different elements, fabrics and colors in ways that look great and that I would never have thought of myself. Laura is not only talented, but is very easy- going, professional and a joy to work with. I highly recommend Laura @ Suhr Interior Design!  

This was the second time we used Laura Suhr for an interior design project. The first time, she assisted us with picking out the materials and colors for our bathroom remodel. The second and most recent time, she helped us remodel our family room, from selecting a new sectional sofa, to lamps, rugs, ottoman, console table, and end tables. She is great! Not only does she have a great artistic eye, but her billing method is fair and reasonable. Laura charges only by the hour that she works with us on our project and passes on any applicable designer discounts directly to us, rather than doing a designer up charge on her discount. It makes any project more financially reasonable and allows us to use her services for even more projects than we would normally do. She knows what our style is, both mine and my husbands, and blends them beautifully. I have highly recommended her before and will continue to do so.

Laura was always punctual to meetings, very responsive to emails (including weekends) and honest about styles appropriate to our furniture and style of home. We purchased a "final sale" rug with a 24 return policy. We laid it out in our home and sent Laura an urgent email in the evening with a photo requesting her input. She responded promptly, pointing out the rug was probably too modern for the furniture we had recently purchased for the room...allowing us to get the rug back in time. The rug she then recommended was not one we would have considered, but looks great. We would recommend Laura.

Laura has been a great help in giving me ideas for how to update my house.  There are so many choices in products and color schemes that it would take a lot of time and research to attempt this on my own.  It is very overwhelming if this isn't something you do regularly and Laura has been a great help in facilitating the process.  There are a lot of details and decisions that I would never have thought about.  So far the exterior painting is done and the colors look great!  I am very happy.  The cabinet fronts and drawers have been done and the rest of the interior work will be starting very soon.  Without Laura's guidance and expertise, this would never be happening.  She has a great eye for design and also knows the mechanics of the work that needs to be done.  When getting bids on various projects there were discussions between the contractor and Laura that I had no idea what they were talking about.  Confirmation that hiring an interior designer was the smartest thing I did.  I would highly recommend Laura.  It has been a huge relief to have her guidance and confidence in making my house beautiful.  I cannot wait to see the finished project!

Everything was wonderful.  It was a great experience.  I liked their responsiveness and they had great talent.  They did a great job on our kitchen design and they had contact with fabulous contractors that had a meticulous eye.  I'm actually working with them again right now on another project so I just met with them last week.  They are very reasonably priced.  It wasn't a full borne remodel but more of a kitchen refresh I guess and related decorating.

My wife and I are remodeling our 1970's era split level. We debated selling and moving but we love the overall floor plan, the neighborhood and most of all, our back yard. What we don't love is our dated kitchen, appliances and the wall between our kitchen and dining room. 

We drew up a plan to address the issues and bring us into the 21st century but we did not feel confident enough to proceed without consulting an expert. We searched online at Angie's List and Houzz and came across Laura Suhr. We liked what we saw and read about her projects and approach so we hired her. It was well worth the investment as her advice saved us from making several major mistakes that we would regret long-term including ...

1. 1. Moving a door that would cost us counter-space that is already very limited because of the room.
2. 2. Putting a set of cabinets on a wall in a room that is already too crowded. 
3. 3. Designing an island that would be too constricting on traffic flow in and out of the kitchen.

These were ideas that seemed good to us (as well as ideas to which we had become emotionally attached!) but Laura was able to help us think them through and suggest alternatives which were much wiser.

Laura also took our design and created a more formal plan using 2020 Design software. That was very helpful in understanding how cabinets are sized and work together in an effective kitchen layout. She also gave us great advice on lighting.

As to how the process worked, we initially contacted Laura through email. She came to our home, listened to our thoughts and looked at our initial plan. She also took pictures and measurements. Four or five days later, she returned her ideas and plan via email. We exchanged a few additional emails for clarification and felt that we had enough information at that point to move forward on our own. Laura does offer a "full-service" option which includes complete design and oversight but I am something of a control-freak and want to do it myself. :) 

In summary, we were very pleased with how Laura interacted with us as well as the service we received. We highly recommend her to anyone thinking about kitchen design.

Finished decorating .We were very pleased with all the contractors Laura provided us. Entire project was finished on time and with little clean up to do. My wife is very pleased with completed decorations and is very happy with Laura. We would recommend Suhr Interior Design to friends and family.

Laura was very pleasant to work with.  She always responded quickly to emails and was always on time for our appointments.  We ended up with a furniture arrangement that she designed that we didn't even have on our radar and it has worked out very well.  The furniture colors/fabrics go well with the colors that were put on the walls and we are very happy with the suggestions she put in front of us.  
The neutral color that was selected for the old house is a light shade of grey and gave the house a uniform feel on the inside but still felt fresh and new.
I felt that Laura's service fees were very fair for the expertise she provides!
We will not hesitate to use Laura's services in the future, however with two mortgages cash flow for new projects and design time have come to a halt for the time being unfortunately!

The first meeting will not likely be the last as I will be  using Laura's help to choose carpet, flooring, and other stylistic components needed to update our house. She was quick to reply to a slight change of plans and I won't hesitate to continue relying on her help to finish the project.

As I stated previously our first meeting was not our last and we are now in the throes of the project. Everyting is coming along extremely well. The vision for the kitchen in our split level house is going to end up spectacular. This is not an easy space to work with but Laura has been professional and helpful every step of the way.

Laura Suhr has been great to work with!  She is very knowledgeable and helped us achieve the look we were going for.  If you are looking for a designer who respects to your needs and wants, I highly suggest working with Laura.  I do not know how we could have pulled this all together without her.
