Nichols Painting

Very pleased! Made sure we were satisfied before we made any payment. A couple of areas needed to be redone and were finished in a timely manner. No problems getting what we wanted. They are eager to please and met expectations. This is the 2nd time we have used them.

It went great. Tom had to remove all the molding in order to take out and replace the screens. He did a great job putting all the molding back in place and replacing the boards that were rotted.

They were out here an hour and a half. They did a great job.

They did a lot more painting than just repair the windows.

Nichols Painting probably gave me the most detailed bid for work on my house that I have ever received. Tim went into very explicit detail about the work that was to be done and spent considerable time with me in person discussing the best way to repair the wood rot where my roof meets an inside corner of the house. The carpenter who did the work was a very affable man named David and was happy to answer my questions. The work appears to have been very well done and done quickly. They had to fit the job in during a few warm days in late December. The price I was invoiced was exactly what was quoted.
If there is one thing I would suggest for them to improve it is communication about work scheduling. I was originally told late October as a start date. When October came and went I contacted them to see what their plans were and was told about another week and a half. I did not hear back again until late December. I understood why the work could be not done in the meantime as temperatures dropped far too low for painting. And it speaks well of Nichols that they did not try to do the job when the weather was too cold. I have had other contractors try to do work when the weather was inappropriate and it always lowers the quality of the finished product. So, I didn't mind the wait, but it's always nice when contractors let you know their intentions especially if the original schedule doesn't work out.
Overall, a very good job. I appreciated the details of their bid and the quality of their work. I would definitely use them again.

Spotty work, untrained staff, made a mess, price too high for quality of work performed.
