A lack of continuity of care was my primary concern and challenge with Mariposa. When I requested access to my pets records to ensure continuity of care and consistency, I was summarily dismissed as a client by one of the veterinarians. I then chose a new clinic, and their staff also encountered tremendously unprofessional behaviour from the Mariposa personnel when they requested my pets records. More than anything, I am saddened by these encounters, as I am a passionate advocate of animal care. I wish only the best for Mariposa, and that this review serves as a wake up call. I will say that the staff ALWAYS treated my animals with love and compassion!

We are so grateful to have stumbled upon Mariposa after moving to KC. The vets are kind and professional. They always make sure you understand and follow up with calls or emails. The staff: vet techs and gals at the desk are always helpful and caring. They try their hardest to fit you in for an emergency. It is well worth the extra drive for me and we have been so pleased with their services. There is not one negative thing about Mariposa

I have been using them for a couple of years. I like their customer service, how they work with us, the options they offer, and easy to work with. They have very competitive pricing. They have been great.

They are really helpful. The vets are really gentle and caring. They are just really nice and helpful all the time. I have been using them for three years.

Dr. Dodson is awesome! I was not happy with the treatment plan recommended by our previous vet and was looking for a more natural, conservative approach to Bandit's problem. Dr. Dodson provided exactly what I was looking for. The office staff was very friendly and professional. Our appointment was right on time. Dr. Dodson took an entire hour with us. She gave Bandit a thorough exam and addressed ALL of my concerns. Dr. Dodson did not try to sell me some expensive prescription dog food or put Bandit on expensive medications. Instead, she recommended that Bandit start a HIGH QUALITY Grain free diet and gave him an affordable natural canine cardiac supplement that would address his health issues. She also gave me the name of 2 local pet food stores that carry ONLY high quality foods. It is possible that Bandit will have to go on medication in the future, depending on how the food and cardiac supplement work, but I am extremely happy with Dr. Dodson's care plan and we both are hoping that this simple, common sense approach will work. I finally found a vet that treats the problem (if there is one) instead of the symptom. And for anyone looking to keep your healthy pet that way, this is the place to go. As long as Mariposa Veterinary Center is around, I will never take my little guy to any other vet.

They are holistic vets and they do acupuncture for pets. They don't do surgeries but they do shots, laser, aromatherapy and massage. They try to heal with Chinese herbal. My dog needed an antibiotic and we started with that and if the dog continued to have UTI's she moved on to the herbal because the antibiotic was not good for the dog. Her approach is to do whatever is best for the animal but she prefers a gentle approach and the less intrusive approach. They are a real niche.

I think they provide very good service and will continue to take my cat to them again in the future.
