Willis, from Lutz came to the house and gave me a quote to hook up three faucets and raise one of the waste lines which was too low on the cabinet. He stated that it would take three hours to do the whole job and that Lutz management wanted to charge me 1,000+ for the whole thing. 3 hours worth of work at more that 325.00 and hour. And I’m a member on their loyalty to boot which was 100.00. And that price was with a %15 discount.

My shower drain was leaking, as evidenced by the water stain on the ceiling directly below my shower. I suspected it would be a simple repair, but was willing to pay the expense of a professional plumber just to get it taken care of. Plumber arrived and barely glanced at the shower drain. He immediately gave this bizarre theory that the stain was caused by water dripping on the floor OUTSIDE the shower stall after I would get out of the shower "dripping wet". The entry point he indicated was 2 1/2 feet from the location of the drain (and the stain). I mentioned several times that the theory didn't make sense because of the round stain directly below the drain, but he seemed to have his mind made up, and did not seemed inclined to do any "plumbing". His suggestion was to have a tile installer come out to place silicone around the outside of the shower stall, and if there was still a leak after that was done (?!), Lutz would come back out to do a leak investigation...for $125. I paid the $39.95 trip charge and sent him on his way. Then I put my brother on the job. He cut a 6x6 inch hole in the ceiling right over the water stain. Lo and behold! We see glistening drops of water on the drain flange. A trip to Lowe's and $16 later (new gasket and plumber's putty) things are high and dry. I've even waited 2 weeks to post my review to make sure the fix was good. Please instruct your employees to listen the homeowner, and if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, there's a pretty good chance it's a duck.

They did a great job, on time and very reasonable.

Took an extra day because my leak was an unusual situation and required special tools. On the second day he resolved the problem quickly.

Lutz is my "go-to" company for anything "plumbing" because: 1) Let me know exactly when would arrive in advance and was right on time. 2) Very professional in determining cause of leak and estimating repairs 3) Had to cut into back wall under sink to get to leak - installed flex connections to prevent it from happening again. 4) Completed work on time as promised 5) No mess - and provided full documentation of work done by follow up email.

I got service the same day I called even though it was one of the coldest days of the year.

Was not repaired. Tech said he had to check on parts and would call me back with price but he never called. I reached out to him several times he said he could not get in touch with company to get parts. He said my only option was to replace two showers, tearing down drywall etc. my husband went to home depo and fixed the leak himself.

Second time I have used Lutz. Very professional and efficient. They were able to work me in on short notice. TJ was awesome! Found the problem right away and resolved. They are MY plumbing company!

I just thought that they were very unorganized. They emailed me on Sunday to say they would call me first thing Monday morning. They never called Monday morning and when I called them they couldn't find my email. I also thought they were kind of expensive.

They do good work we've hired them multiple times. They've done work on our toilets and sinks. They're even coming back today for more work. They're prompt, knowledgeable and do a good job.

They were very professional and quick. The shower has old parts and he faucet stem was worn down so that the shower would not shut off. They were able to get us in that day and came out and performed the work needed. Would use them again.

Smooth, no problems they could not handle

They did fix the problem and it hasn't broken. I most likely would not use them again because of the high price. They gave me an average explanation of the work they did after they were finished. I felt the price they charged me to reset the toilet was pretty expensive. My only interaction with the workers was on the phone but they seemed professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing.

Went well, got a quote, they returned to do the work. We watched it for a week or two before repairing the hole in the ceiling

Overall, an excellent experience and would definitely hire them again. I liked getting an email with the name of the service person who would be coming. He was on time, very professional and did a great job. I had purchased a kitchen faucet thinking we could just replace it ourselves. It proved to be a bit more difficult than expected. Then our 16 year old dishwasher finally gave out. We purchased an LG from a big box store and paid for delivery, installation and to haul away the old one. The installers said they couldn't do the work because they weren't allowed to cut the pipes. So I called Lutz (who I had used on a project in the past) to come out and do both of those plus another smaller project. Scott made the small repair and installed both the faucet and the dishwasher. While he was under the sink, noticed our garbage disposal had never been 'locked' in place and really was a disaster waiting to happen. AND he took the old dishwasher without even my asking! Thankfully, I have not had to use plumbing services so I don't know what are general costs/prices. I'm sure Lutz prices are very comparable to any other company so my 'C' rating on cost, is just mostly due to my frustration with the whole thing. I paid Lutz almost 1/2 of the original cost of the dishwasher to install it (now need to get refund from big box store) and paid twice the cost of the faucet to install. Again, I am not saying their prices are out of line at all, I was just a bit surprised.

They were able to schedule the repair within a couple of days. The technician was prompt, professional and incredibly fast.

Outstanding professionalism and courtesy

It was either for a drain cleaning or a toilet installation. They did a good job but I felt like it was a bait and switch on the price.

they were very nice, but as he estimated the job price ... I all of the sudden got two prices, Angie's list price and some plumbing club price. Very confusing. They fixed the toilet quickly but I saw they replaced the water line Connector piece which was not leaking and not the problem and it was expensive. decided not to have the leaky sinks replaced, quoted price too expensive.
