Product was fine, however my stainless refrigerator was dented in several places. We witnessed the damage, however damages were unresolved.

The products are good we saw them at the Home and Remodling show and liked them. The installations were the worst. The measurements were off and I asked every time if they were going to remeasure? Every time I talked to them because I had to replace drywall. Every time I was assured they would and they'd schedule it. It never happened. The installers cut out a section of drywall to get the granite to fit. Not only that but the cabinets are stock cabinets. My kitchen is U-shaped with the sink in the middle of the U. So, picture a scenario, in the corners, where there's a stretch of cabinets that are covered up by cabinets on the next wall. It looks fine from the outside but on the inside are these openings for doors in the hidden section where there should be a solid stretch of facing. The problem is there are spacers joining the cabinets together. So, if something small enough is stored in the cabinets, it could easily fall into the empty space area and either never be found again or fall straight down onto the counter top from the upper cabinets. I brought this problem up to a guy named Jason before they installed the countertops because the problem was pretty obvious. He said he never had a customer EVER mention the problem before and he'd send the guys back out to put panels on the openings and they'd change their installation policies on all their future installs. Also, he assured me that if the team wasn't available, they'd fix it after the countertops were on. I never heard back from anyone on it again. Also, there were some knicked up areas on the wood due to the granite install. It appears they tried to cover it up with shoe polish. They also left some trim pieces off around some corners of the kick plates. My old cabinets didn't make a straight 90 degree corner. There was a piece that covered up a 45 degree angle that covered a cut in the hardwood floor; totally obvious and unattractive. The installers of the cabinets were Asian and spoke very little English but they were nice. Although, I didn't appreciate being sent out to buy screws for the handles that they didn't need in the end but it left them in the house by themselves. They seemed short on supplies and used some of my tools without asking. The installers of the granite were Hispanic and only one of them spoke limited English but was better than the Asians. All of them were very nice including the guy who farted twice. Besides the granite digging into the wall, the major seam, connecting two huge pieces, lands near the end of the dishwasher, needing about 3 more inches to get to the top of the nearest cabinet. I suspect this will not last long before I'm replacing it; we'll see. Overall, my wife and I like the quality of cabinets and countertop but KC Granite and Cabinetry needs to change their installation practices and crews. To finish this review, I was contacted by Jason wanting to collect the remaining balance of the invoice. I sort of promised him I'd pay right away. Regrettably, I stooped to his level and dragged my feet on the payment for a few weeks. I so wanted to call Jason up and ask how HE liked it when people didn't do things they said they would... Yet, restrained myself and decided to air it out here on Angie's list. I'll never do business with KC Granite and Cabinetry again, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. They need major top to bottom level changes in a big way! Beware!

The estimator that came out was very precise and helpful.  People in the shop were somewhat professional, but due to a large language barrier, it was difficult to communicate with them.  This made picking of the granite and placing the deposit a nerve-wracking process.  Several times, we were concerned they did not understand what we were saying.  It is obvious that with the result, they did not comprehend us or made an error (see below).  Either the salesperson or the foreman needs to be able to communicate effectively.
They did allow us to purchase a sink from another vendor, which saved us several weeks for a special order.  The quality of the work looks to be very good. They did an excellent job avoiding the bad areas of the granite slab we selected.  They were on time and nice during the installation.  The installation took place within 5 days of our order.
However, we did encounter a problem.  During the initial visit with the estimator, we told him we wanted a 10" or 12" extension for a stool seating area. Initially we went with 10", and then via phone called them to tell them 12". Unfortunately, they put the extra 2" on the wrong end so that it ended over the drawers leaving only a 10" extension for the stool area.  During the installation, they were able to take out the wrong 2" extension such that it had the normal overhang.  In addition, they were also supposed to install three brackets; however, they only installed two brackets.  When we called them to pay the remaining 50%, we asked for a credited due to the missing square footage and bracket; they agreed.
With finer attention to detail, and improved communication, we would use them again.  However due to their error, we will use someone else next time even if they are more.

The granite and tile backsplash looked beautiful.  However, the team installing the backsplash dumped the water they used to install the tiles in the front yard and left a mess on our back deck and front driveway.  I called three times to ask they come back to clean up the mess.  I finally went to the company and asked to speak to the manager or owner.  Mr. Fong came out of his office, glanced at my pictures and made it clear he was not interested in hearing my complaint or sending the crew back out to clean up their mess.  A little over 1 1/2 years later, the grout in the tile backsplash is coming off.  Why would an area that is decorative and not be used be flaking off?  They have poor customer service, starting with the owner and do not use quality products installing the tile backsplash.  Finally,  in 2012 they were not BBB certified even though they show it on their website.  The BBB said all they could do is send them a letter asking them to take of the symbol.

I stopped in and viewed multiple granite installations companies, and KC Granite?s customer service was great, they had samples onsite, and I had my estimate scheduled and completed quickly.  The warehouse was organized, labeled, and tiered.  I had needed a Saturday install, and they were able to work with us on the dates.  The pricing was about average in comparison to others, maybe a little lower.
Installation went quickly, but was hard to communicate with the installers.  When they left, the granite was not wiped down and there was a pretty good mess left in the kitchen.  We did have to have them come back and fix a couple of chips in the granite and 2 seems.  The repair was made quickly and the proper customer service was done.  I am giving a ?B? because these were minor issues that were corrected quickly and installation was beautiful.

We're very happy with the new counter-tops.  With 52 sq feet of surface area, there is only one seam and the match is dead on.  We were given two tours of the facility and they moved a slab to give us our choice of slab.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  From the first time we went to the facility until install was 2.5 weeks; from slab pick to install 1.5 weeks, so the turn-around was excellent.  If not for the guy who came out to measure, I may have given a C for punctuality.  The only thing I was at first a bit irritated with was that the installers were supposed to be here between 2 and 4 pm, but didn't arrive until just after 5 pm.  As it turned out, that worked out much better since I work from home and as the install is pretty noisy it would've been problematic during conference calls.  I'm thrilled with the results and love my new counter-tops.

We went to their showroom to get pricing for granite countertops.  Our plan was to replace the countertop.and backsplash.  We had the backsplash tile purchased already and had a bid to have it installed.  In short, the pricing on the granite was good and they said they could do the tile for about the same price as our other estimate.  We decided to go ahead and use them for both.  The removal of the countertop was messy, but that is to be expected.  They were quick with getting the granite in and, to be honest, the granite looks great.

The next day the tile person shows up.  It was difficult to communicate with the person, but he was polite and seemed to work diligently and with knowledge as to what we were doing.  The next day he came back to grout the tile and finish. Before he even finished he began demanding to get paid.  My wife couldn't understand what he was saying so we said we'd call or stop by to pay.  This should have been a huge red flag, but they called twice in the next couple of hours to get paid the remaining 50%.  So, I paid without even seeing their work.  Huge mistake...  the tile is crooked and there are a number of permanent marker lines on the tile where they marked for cutting.  Honestly, I think I could have done a better job and I've never done tile before.  It's horrible.  I've got a call into them to see how they will remedy and will post back if they fix it.  Based on my experience so far, I'm not optimistic.

2-7-13  We called and Logan came out to review the work.  He was extremely nice and got someone out the next week to fix our concerns. We probably will use them in the future for granite, but may use someone else for any tile work.

The finished product looks nice but the lack of customer service skills portrayed by the manager, Kenny and the tile crew forfeited future business from us.

I interviewed several companies and I was impressed when this company told me they didn't use subcontractors and their crews answered directly to them so if any problems they would be dealt with immediately. My husband and I were  also told that they would protect our new appliances and that they would be very careful to tape off work areas and floors and that I would only have to take items out of the top drawers, that everything else would remain clean and fine. I was sick the day they came to install, so I didn't come downstairs until the sink and countertop people were done. I let them out and was told the tilers were on their way. I went in kitchen to find that they cut the granite too short on one end. I was trying to get a hold of the project mger while waiting on the backsplash tilers who were very late. When the tilers came, i explained I was very upset about the short granite, and found out that none of my tilers spoke English. I continued to try to get a hold of project mger and noticed that the special design I was supposed to have over sink area was not being done. They stopped until I got mger on phone and could explain to tilers the design. He then said he would be out to look at the "short" granite the next morning. The tilers finished late and they were going to move the appliances back when I noticed they had not picked up any of the old drywall on floor and that the drywall dust was in every adjoining room as they had not put up any barriers when removing the old tile . When I got in the lower cabinets, I not only found tons of sawdust but big screws, nails, etc. The next day while waiting on the late manager, I noticed that underneath all the countertops where the granite meets the cabinets there were all these shims and glue and nothing covering them up. It looked horrid. I called and got the owner, Kenny, who proceded to tell me that old cabinets can be uneven and will need shims and glue to make them even for counters and it wasn't their problem to cover up the  shims and glue. At that point, the project mger arrived and said he would tack some trim on. He tacked the trim on but stain was wrong and he didn't even miter corners, he butted them up against each other.( We since have had another company redo that area when we had cabinets restained). He apologized about the mess that was left behind, but offered no solutions other than , "he would talk to his crew about the mess".
When asked about the "short" granite piece, he said they had to cut it that short or it would not have been to code.
Overall, we were very disappointed and shocked at the total lack of professionalism and extreme poor quality of work. We were not members of "Angie's List" at the time and that is why this review is being written now that we are members so this won't happen to someone else.

We had very expensive kitchen sinks that came with the home and we replaced them with new sinks.  We had them put them outside and told them that we were donating them.  I had just had colon surgery and got up just in time to find them stealing our sinks.  My husband called and they said they would return them, but we have yet to see them.

We ordered a large slab of granite that was white with black specks and they installed one that was orange and grey.  We have huge gaps between our countertops and appliances.  They said that they would be back to fix it and they haven't come back.  They have worn us down.  I have a 2 burner stove and a sink in the island.  They said they would supply a new slab of granite, but notified us that we would be responsible for the cost to rewire everything.  Nobody has ever showed up.  We have called multiple times and emailed.

All of this isn't quite as bad as the fact that they stole from us!  They haven't even apologized.

We had checked with another large granite company first, and they put a lot of pressure on us to sign immediately.  They didn't have much selection as far as more "interesting" granite slabs, with veins and different colors. When I asked to see the actual slab, they said I didn't have any input on that. They also had a long wait for the project to be completed. I was not satisfied, so I found KC Granite and Cabinetry thru Angie's List, and immediately saw a huge difference. They had a nice selection of interesting slabs of granite and they said we could have it measured and installed within a week. They also were willing to fabricate any granite we found at any of the wholesale places like Bedrock (for a small upcharge to get the granite transferred from there), and even provided us with a list of those places we could look. We ended up finding our favorite one there at KC Granite, although we did look at the other places as well.  They were very nice and friendly to work with, from the sales person to the scheduler, and we even got to meet the owner and he was quite helpful as well. We had to remove our old granite first, then have some new cabinets installed, and then measure for the new granite- they did it very efficiently and worked with our unusual scheduling needs. Usually they are able to remove the existing countertops and install the new ones the same day! The people who measured and the ones who installed were very knowledgeable and professional. The finish on the granite edges was beautiful! It ended up being a very fair price, and we were so happy we decided to go with them on the granite.

We made our selection at their showroom and they sent out a representative to measure and price the job. When we were ready for installation we returned to the showroom and put down a deposit and were given an install date. The showroom personal were very polite and helpful. The crew arrived on the install date, put down floor protection and did the installation and cleanup.

The pricing wasn't normal because it was a cracked piece of granite. The price was reasonable and it matched the other places that we went to. We went to 3 or 4 other places. All the pricing was similar and granite is expensive. They were on time and did a good job. We found one little chip and they took care of it right away. Everything was positive. They did provide a military discount.
