I went into the store and I had very specifically measured out the, I was having several things that I was wanting to replace. One was a double wall oven that's electric. One was a mini wine refrigerator and then I got a new microwave. So I went in, and for the mini refrigerator and the wall oven, I had very meticulously in my opinion, taken the time to measure the heights, the depth, the width all of those things and went in to buy something and so I picked out the things I wanted and then they send a person to your home to double check your measurements, because I thought that I could do one size and they had talked me into buying a bigger wall oven unit, because they said, oh no...when the guy came out to measure, he was oh no you were off, this will fit, we can do the bigger on in here, well guess what, wrong. I was right. And so they get here with my double wall oven, well first they have to take out the old one, so now the old ones gone so they put the new one in, and it doesn't fit. So now, I have a double wall oven parked in my garage, not terribly helpful if you'd like to cook dinner with it, and I was pissed because I said them, so then it gets into this long saga of it was literally an inch not deep enough so they knew somebody that was in the cabinetry business that could come out and add an inch to the face of my cabinetry and therefore it would make the double wall oven. So through about a two week process, yes, they did come out and they did put the inch on, put now I have this pantry that sits next to my double oven that they've miscalculated and it won't, both doors won't open and close. So it's just like this thing that I can't necessarily say that it was exactly Factory Directs fault, but it was, because they came and changed what I ordered to what they thought I could buy and they were wrong. Well then they me into this whole other thing and to this day, my pantry doors don't open right.

On Monday, Aug. 25th we contacted Daphne again, and told her to cancel the dishwasher since we were moving, and it was not available immediately.  Daphne promised a refund THAT DAY.  Daphne was going on vacation for a week.  Days later, we checked our US Bank Account and there was no refund.  We contacted the offices, talked to Linda in Credit and she offered a partial refund.  They couldn't seem to find the official sales receipt, was coming up with different numbers than what we paid.  Today, Sept. 3, I hear from Linda that Daphne is back at the office, and she will TRY to get the refund authorized.  It is now late afternoon, no one calls, no one emails, I put in 3 calls, and no one is answering the phone, it goes to voice mail on all phone calls.

i had never been in factory direct and the first time experience was very good.  I went on a saturday and wonderful fresh cooked food was being served.  my  salesperson was joey villarreal and he did a great job of listening to what i wanted for a washing machine and then took me to the two choices that he thought suited my needs the best.   one machine was a GE, which is what i had previously bought from Nebraska Furniture and it broke 6 years later, no repair could fix it.   the second machine, a speed queen, really impressed me and that is what i bought.   Joey was  knowledgeable, personable and professional and made the experience extra special.   no pressure was used on me and he had tons of patience.    i also talked to rick in the delivery dept., and ron and rich delivered the washer on time with no problems.   all 3 were pleasant, considerate and professional.   one month later, i had a minor problem with the washer leaving soap scum around the top of the tub and called the service dept.    i did not get the names of the woman who made my appointment or  the man that i spoke with on the day of service, but both were extremely helpful and returned my phone calls in a very timely manner.   the service man who came to my house, mike, was the most patient of all, because i was having a very bad day and he still remained very pleasant to me and solved the problem.
From the friendly atmosphere of the showroom, the ease of the delivery, the caring of the service dept......no complaints what so ever.....only thumbs up.   oh yes, the price of the machine was the best too and i compared it to everyone else who sells speed queen in greater k.c. and even some small outskirting towns.     but again, i really have to thank joey who did the best job ever as a salesperson with such knowledge and ease.   i will be back to buy more appliances

Never having been to Factory Direct before we had decided that morning to run over to look at their inventory of dishwashers, and gas ranges.  Bill, like I said spent a lot of time with us showing us all of the brands/appliances that were available that would meet our needs. He ended up taking us into the area where they have their sale items and we found a very good deal on a gas range and an overhead microwave that were the same brand and model type. That changed our mind on the dishwasher we thought we wanted as we decided we should get the model that matched the range/microwave. Bill was very helpful and also helped us find an affordable professional to hookup our gas line for the new range. We had been having a problem with very high bids from two other companies so when we were put in touch with his contact who did the work at a very reasonable price we were very happy. Overall we were very impressed with the Factory Direct experience and would definitely use them again.

Overall; I was pleased with the price. There was a mix up on the delivery; and instead of being the first delivery of the day as I had requested; they finally showed up at 7 pm. The company went out of there way to make it up to me; even reimbursing me the delivery costs. They had recently implemented a new computer program and the scheduler was not able to see my request for delivery time at the bottom of the sheet.

I purchased a replacement stove-top. The salesperson, Jim Herron, was very knowledgeable about my house, the year of build, the builder, the cook-top I had, etc. I purchased the cook-top at full price (no discount even though it was an 'older' model. The installation was set-up within 10 days. However, when the installers came, they took one look and said they couldn't install it because a two-year old manufacturer recommendation mandated that the cook-top must have a dedicated circuit. They could not install it. When I called Jim at the store, he was very unhelpful (have you ever had a conversation with someone who is silent?). I later called the manager of sales, Eric, and he was somewhat more helpful (and eventually offered an extended warranty). They seemed to think that my expectation that Jim should have forwarned me that a separate circuit was needed and that it was likely I would need an electrician was not reasonable even though they had the information for two years.

This purchase and the follow up service went very well. The Salesperson (Patrick) was knowledgeable and the showroom was excellent. After getting the price quotes, I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and couldn't find anything cheaper. I also looked online and found all of the prices to be very competitive. We finalized the purchase on 2/16/07, all of the items were delivered and installed on 2/19/07. There were no problems or mistakes during the entire process.

The system has so far met our expectations. John Wilk worked on the cabinet and did an excellent job of matching our previous stain. The men were professional when installing and did a great job of labeling the cables for us before moving them out of sight. They instructed us on the use of the system, however I would have liked the training to be a little bit more "hands on". It seemed rushed to me. Overall, we recommend this company for home theater needs.
