I will continue to use them. It would be nice if their price was lower though. Service cuts out if the weather is severe. Our downtime averages about 5-10%. Our experience has been that Dish Network is better than cable. In the event of an outage, the service gets back up and running as soon as the clouds clear and the rain stops. It re-establishes well within 5 minutes.

In the first month the service worked about 10 days out of 30, after numberous calls the company switched the receiver box. Failed service continued, so Dish sent a service tech out; he installed a third receiver box. The service worked for a few days then again failed to function. I estimate that I called Dish about 30+ times over 3 months for failed service. Each time the computer menu takes 20 minutes to navigate. I finally cancelled the service and had to physically have the satellite and mounting taken down at my expense. It is then that I discovered the mounting was lose and had split the wood on my house. Dish sent out a damages representative to verify this. In the meantime, I paid to have that damage repaired at my expense. I sent the satellite dish and receiver back to Dish in their self-addressed box. Two months later, I received a letter stating that I owed Dish another $348 for early cancellation. I called and was told that "regardless of what my story was, I owed the money." I had to sue them in court to get them to remove the charge from my credit report.

This year alone my service has been off 23 times. They say it could be due to the weather. I called to cancel and they tried to offer me a discount, but I didn't take it. Customer service was not friendly to talk to. I got more channels for less money with another service.
