Del Mar Tile

We recently replaced our kitchen counter tops with granite
which required the backsplash to be replaced with tiles compatible with the new
counter tops.  We used Braco Stone to
fabricate our granite tops and they subcontracted with Del Mar Tile to do the
tile work.  Fred Rivera demolished the
backsplash including the wallboard with the intent to allow minor adjustments
to the existing outlets and light switches so that they would be positioned
exactly within our new 5? x 12? mosaic accent tiles.  During the demolition Fred suggested that we
consider under cabinet power strips so that the outlets would not interrupt the
detailed tile pattern.  We liked the idea
and requested Braco to give us a cost estimate for purchase and installation of
angled power strips available from Task Lighting.  Braco hired Quality Mark Construction to move
the electrical wiring to allow our light switches to be placed horizontally
under the kitchen cabinets and to accommodate the new under cabinet power
strips.  Once the wiring was relocated
and new wallboard installed, Fred did a great job of setting the tile.  We appreciated how he left our wall-mounted
microwave in place as long as possible before tiling behind it.  Fred made sure we were happy with the tile
selection before setting the tile and was willing to make a slight change in
the tile around a window to add a pencil tile above the tile he had already
edged to transition into the painted wall. 
We are very pleased with the work provided by Del Mar Tile and would
strongly recommend Fred for any future work.
