I have several services with CACU (Checking, Savings, Investment, Roth IRA, Credit Card, Safe Deposit box). I've been very impressed with their service, capabilities, and price. This is a much larger credit union than most, but has all the same benefits (and more). Recommended.

Jason returned my calls promptly, even after 5 p.m. The loan refinance process went extremely well and the closing costs were less than many of the places I had called. (I had checked with 6-7 other banks). Right before finding Jason on Angie's List, I had my refinance application fall through with a bank, because the bank I was working with did not accept the appraisal of the company they hired saying it was too high and not justified by the sales in my area. So I not only lost the $400 I spent on the appraisal with that company, but I had to start my loan process over. Fortunately, starting over with Community America was great. Jason was easy to work with and extremely customer-service focused.

I have been very impressed with Community America so far. They really made us feel like an individual, even though they are a fairly large credit union. The team that was assigned to work with us on our mortgage was punctual and answered any questions that we had. I never felt like we were wasting there time, even though they must have gotten the same question a million times. Most important, the team made sure all of the i's were dotted so that we would be able to close on time and as smoothly as possible.

Very friendly staff, opened savings and checking accounts for my husband and myself and also our college age daughter. Answered any questions we had and even stayed past closing time to finish up our business.

Every contact with Community America has been courteous, professional and helpful. They are honest about needs they cannot meet and provide suggestions for my future financial benefit.

Thier staff can be counted on to treat you like an individual and not just a number. They learn your name and welcome you with a smile every time you come into their establishment. They work hard with you AND your family to make sure you chose THEM as your business partner. They have OUTSTIANDING customer service.

I had to work with a different person each time and each person was great to work with... I didn't have to spend a lot of time on the phone or go down to offices and sit endlessly but I did have the luxury of dropping by one of their local cacu locations to sign and fax paperwork. All around they were great making sure we had the best rates and that they handled our claims expediently. I only had two issues they made me get my house appraised twice and said I wouldn't have to pay twice since it was less than a month apart but I wouldn't know because for some reasons their emails don't seem to come through either one of my emails so I just have to take their word for it for now. (I am still a little bent about two home appraisals because I guess home equity and home refinance appraisals are different which still seems kind of suspect and superfluous - - - especially when it was done in the same month and even by the same appraisers.)

They are very personable. When I call, I talk to somebody and not some recording machine. They have got really flexible hours. I've never had a bad experience yet. The closing cost is $2500.

TruHome loans (Community America Credit Union) were just who we needed to work with for our FHA Streamline mortgage refinance. They were professional throughout the process quickly answering any questions that we had. The entire process was started and finished in the same month. Having a local (Kansas City) contact is the way to go with a refinance. We made a mistake starting our search for a mortgage company on Lending Tree and was hounded by multiple salesmen from multiple California companies that were not professional and had very high fees. Multiple companies were telling us that we had to have another home appraisal performed and it turns out that was not true. That alone would have cost us an unnecessary $450 to $500. If your doing a refinance you should look no further than Community America Credit Union. We also refinanced our auto loans to a very good rate. Community America Credit Union was a pleasure to work with and they are saving us a lot of money with the lower interest rates.

I think it is a friendly environment and they have good rates. They provide competitive services and I do not have to have a regular balance. The staff is very friendly and they are usually able to take care of whatever I have going on. I do not dislike anything about them.

The experience started off with a great beginning in June of 2012. After that, it quickly deterioted. We were attempting to do a refi on our home. After paying for the appraisal, the process never seemed toget better. Our contact kept changing. Slow response. They would request a call back so when I would do that, I was not able to reach anyone and then again didn't get contact for a while. I tolerated this unitl December 2012 when I went with a different agent. We have already closed on that refi. (Thanks to Community America's poor service, we were able to get a lower interest so thanks to them for that.) I was disappointed as I had heard the experience with a credit union was a different/better than with a bank. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I had gone with Community America based on their A rating with Angie's List.

The process could not have been easier, the rate is great and every person I've dealt with has been stunningly friendly and helpful. I can't recommend CACU highly enough!! I'm very impressed!!

I jumped on Angie's List and bought their subscription because I wanted someone to recommend a mortgage company to me. They had the top 5 mortgage companies. I called the first 2. I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the first one. The second one was Community America. They did my loan really fast with a really low rate. They were very professional and very good. I would highly recommend them. They had a great rate and excellent communication. The closing was very smooth. I was very happy with what I had spent.

They always know who you are when you come in and they provide great customer service. We are always able to reach them when we need to. They are awesome and we?ve used them for several years.

Absolutely top shelf. No hitches or surprises, very friendly professional people.

ONE THING I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS THAT YOU CAN GET A PERSON, INSTEAD OF ALL THIS AUTOMATED STUFF WHEN YOU HAVE A QUESTION. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS AND NEVER HAD TO CALL BACK, BECAUSE THEY GOT THE JOB DONE THE FIRST TIME.
