"The unfortunate thing with this review is that the work this individual refers to was completed by Patio Enclosures Incorporated in 2005--- a company that went out of business in 2010. Patio Enclosures of Kansas City is owned by ADDCO LLC a company formed in February of 2012. The only relationship to Patio Enclosures Incorporated that we have is that we are an independent dealer of Great Day Improvement LLC which purchased the assets the bankrupt Patio Enclosures Incorporated. With respect to the current experience with Patio Enclosures of Kansas City, it again is unfortunate that this situation has gone from a small company attempting to do a good deed for an individual to a situation of being accused of being a villain…….disappointing at best. The basic facts are we were contacted by the homeowner (not the individual who wrote the critique) to address a problem with a failing metal canopy. Upon inspection it was determined that it was not a Patio Enclosures product and an offer was made to immediately remove what was considered a dangerous situation at a quoted price. The homeowner declined making a commitment pending confirmation of insurance coverage. A couple of days later he is on TV ….When contacted while in the hospital the homeowner was told that Patio Enclosures of Kansas City would remove the damaged canopy and advised “if insurance covered it great…. if not it would be on me.” A decision I now regret but one that seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Later, we were contacted by this homeowner who rather abruptly, without explanation advised that he was going in a different direction with respect to replacing the patio cover, offering no additional information…only to follow with a less than complimentary telephone call ……..and now the negative comment on my company…"
