After getting several bids to turn our dark, cold basement into a family room, we were fortunate enough to meet Chuck Stratford, owner of Stratford Homes, Inc. Chuck arrived at our home with his carpenter/framer to look at our basement, take measurements and give us a bid for the work. They were very careful to get all of the details of the project. We wanted to have appr. 2/3 of the basement turned into a family room with the rest left for storage. We had a basic idea of what we wanted, and Chuck and his team helped with great practical ideas for making the most of our space while keeping to our specific budget. We wanted a basic finish with drywall, finished ceiling, trim, carpet and lighting. Every person who came to work on the project (carpenters, electricians, drywallers,painter) was very professional and highly skilled. We were so impressed that the guys showed up on time first thing every morning, worked straight through the day and left the area clean and ready for the next day. Chuck Stratford himself was involved at every stage of the project keeping us informed of questions, and options as the work progressed. He was wonderful about communicating with us and we couldn't have been happier with the the entire process! Our basement was finished on time for the Christmas holidays, and on budget, just as we were promised!!! We love our new space!!!
