I hired Cynthia to help me choose colors for our remodeled home. She brought a few color and hardwood floor stain samples to look at. When I asked her for suggestions, she always asked me what I thought rather than offering her own ideas. My expectation was for her to provide a few whole-house options and let me choose from those. That didn't happen. I later spoke with a Sherwin Williams consultant for 90 minutes and found the help I needed for free.

When my husband saw the house after her visit, he said "if she would have charged 5x as much, would have still been worth it"! Cynthia has an energetic personality, a great eye, and was able to help me make final decisions with several home design projects. Going to have her come out again after we paint to help arrange art work!

Both of our encounters with Cynthia Grant went very well; she provided suggestions that were in our tastes, and taught us several rules of thumb about decorating. Cynthia moved a couple of pieces of furniture to make the flow of the room better. She stylishly arranged the small art pieces and mementos in our glass-front cabinet. She also edited our some decorative items that were "too much". That is not to say that she forced any move or change on us- her ideas were presented as suggestions that we could agree with or not. She was complimentary about the furniture we now have and not a bit dismissive of our tastes. We would definitely use her again for making over a room using the furniture we now have.

I had been stuck with what to do with my living room for a year. Cynthia came in and in an hour we had a plan for my living and dining rooms, with time to spare. I've never worked with a decorator before, and she was great. I'm excited to put into place the suggestions she made about paint color and wall decor--I know when it is done, it will look great, thanks to her. Will use her again for sure!

We have only worked with a few designers briefly before, but it was never a good experience as they have always been about up-selling and trying to get us to buy thousands of dollars worth of furniture. We appreciated Cynthia's thoughtfulness in using pieces we already have and re-purposing some of them. My wife commented later last night that "that was the best $100.00 we have ever spent."

Cynthia did an excellent job of suggesting colors, materials, etc. to redecorate, remodel, and update a home built in 1976. I like the fact that she would offer less costly options when possible, like using the furniture and art work we already have. She also recommended contractors, but I never felt forced to use them. She was very down-to-earth and helpful. The house needs a lot of updating and she helped put it into perspective so all that needs to be done does not seem as overwhelming. She also left me with color and material samples.

It was really fun to have someone come in and look at the things I had a see them and their arrangement in a totally different way. Will definetely do it again one day and would recommend others to do it as it just gives you an uplift.

The provider was excellent, well worth it, I would call her back any day I need more suggestions and guidance with color of paint and decorating ideas. I've had decorators come to the house before but she topped the others.

I bought this house and this is the first house I've ever lived in that I couldn't figure out how to arrange furniture and pictures on walls and she was very helpful and personable. She had quite a good experience. For what she did, the price was very reasonable.

I was in the midst of a room makeover and was having trouble making a decision on paint color. She brought in several samples and we discussed options. She had some good ideas but I wasn't entirely convinced of the color. During her time there she also rearranged my bookshelves in my family room. That alone was well worth the price, loved what she did with my exisiting things. She also made some suggestions for furniture placement.

I am sooooo glad we found Cynthia on Angie's list. She was a HUGE help. She was efficient without being pushy, very friendly and very easy to work with. As she left, she even told us to call if there was anything we wanted to discuss further with her. (That's what I call service.......going that one extra step for the client.) I would recommend her to anyone looking for decorating/design services.

She was punctual and offered many suggestions for furniture and picture placement. Because the consultation did not take the full hour, she asked if there was anything else I could use help with in other rooms so we looked at various placements for pictures that I had stored in the closet. I got lots of good ideas for reusing rather than replacing pictures, mats, and mirrors.
