It was a very good experience. They are very loving, very compassionate. They treat animals like their family, not just like a dog or cat. They handle your animal the way you would handle them and that means a lot to me. From a woman's prospective they are all women, they are just so loving and warm and caring. I would use this provider again in the future.

They have been our vet for a very long time and they have been very good with all domestic animals and pets.

I really like them. I think they're super nice and they take time and they listen and they give you lots of options for care. Everyone there is very professional from the front office staff to the doctors. Everyone is very caring. I thought their fees were very fair, actually maybe a little bit lower than average for the area.

We've been going there for about 12 years now. I got four pets but when I checked the prices around, they are just same as everyone else. I like that they are very good with the animals like their own pets. I think we put had put the dog to sleep to the doctors more than we did. They're just really good. She's a really good vet.

I drop him off on my way to work and scoop him up on my way home... it's perfect!

All of our visits have been positive experiences.

My dog was acting strange. He had a runny nose, eye buggers, and was not eating his food. I dropped him off yesterday morning and the Vet here was able to get him in right away. They were quick to call me and fill me in on my dog's situation which was nice. When I picked him up after work he was good as new and acting normal again. They gave him a special food that was easy on his tummy and sent me home with some meds. I was really worried about him and Hawthorne set me at ease very quickly. The office is very clean and the staff is amazing.... they make you feel like family!
This Vet is not the closest to my home but I will continue to make the drive because I've never felt more comfortable and confident with a clinic as I do here. (Also- I shopped around and Hawthorne's charges are on the lower end for sure!)

We just moved here and haven't compared their prices with our old vet. They are usually very responsive about getting our pet in when it needs to come in. They don't make me wait. They are very friendly.

My husband and I moved to Leawood 5 years ago. We have been taking our dog to Hawthorne ever since. We love the staff here. The doctors have always taken the best care of our dog whether it be an emergency visit or routine check-up. They truly are passionate about what they do and providing the best care for animals (and their owners).

Very friendly, clean and professional. They are located close to my home and the length of time spent in the car is important to both me and my cat. I had heard nice comments from neighbors also. I have always used vet clinics that cater only to cats so I was a little nervous but everything went fine. They were prompt so we did not have to spend any time in the waiting room which is great since other cats and all dogs upset my cat. I will continue to use this clinic for my cat's care and would recommend it to all.

I dropped off Kallie in the morning the staff were bright and friendly. I signed a consent form and decided to do the optional but recommended preanesthetic bloodwork, because my dog is a senior. The Staff told me about the procedure and set up a release/pick up time for me later in the day. Dr. Brown called me when the dental cleaning was finished. Kallie did great!! She recovered well from anethesia her bloodwork was normal and she didn't need any extractions. Dr. Brown did find an area where kallie was licking and asked to check a cytology, to check for infection. I saw the technician later that afternoon and she was very informative about dental care and prevention. Previous veterinarian offices had not explianed this to me. Hawthorne offers many product to keep tartar from forming on the dogs/cats teeth. They also were running a special in Feb discounting the dental and Preanesthetic profile. They even put a sealant on the teeth to keep tartar from building as quickly. The biggest thing I was impressed with though is that they really cared for Kallie they were friendly and patient with her when she is usually a very nervous dog at other Vet office's. I have boarded her in the past and each time she came in she liked it more! I really believe that this office puts in extra effort for their clients!
