I felt it was quite overpriced, but I agreed to it, so it was my fault I did so. This was performed in the fall of 2006. However, in January 2008, yes 2008! The owner came to our home and left a note with our check from 2006, telling us our check had never been cashed. He wanted us to write another! He told us his wife must have dropped it behind a desk, and he'd just found it. He was determined to have us write another, even though it was a full 15 months later! I discussed this with others who are in the retail business and they felt it was totally inappropriate for the owner to physically come to our home and 'dun' us so much after the fact. He came by several times until one day I finally just gave up to get rid of him, and I rewrote a check. This was by then, a full 18 months after the original work was finished. I told him I thought he had a lot of nerve to be doing this and I am still angry about it. I am a business owner, and if we make a mistake, we eat the cost, but it was obvious this guy would not give up. I felt very intimidated that he kept coming to our home. We have had quite a number of pieces framed by this store in the past 16 years, but will never use them again due to the arrogance of this man. I told him how I felt, but he did not back down at all. He did give me a coupon for all my trouble for $50 off, but to be honest, I ended up tossing it because of his unbelievable manner, my disgust over the situation, and their overly inflated prices.

Overall this was not a good experience. I paid $160 for them to frame mount and frame two 6x9 photographs and that was with a 50% off coupon! I went there because I had the coupon, but even at 50% off I thought they were overpriced. I chose the most basic frames and matting available, and they were still expensive. I have had work done at other stores for much, much less. Also, they promised it on a certain date (these were gifts), and when I called to check on the order it wasn't ready and they asked if I could pick it up the next day. The quality of the work was also marginal. One of the photos was crooked, and the person in the shop fixed it by pushing and pulling on the backing. I can only imagine this will become crooked again. I will go elsewhere for framing next time.
