They originally contacted me in February, 2000 through email to solicit health insurance. It was perfect timing, as I had started my own company a couple of years earlier, our COBRA coverage had expired and we had not been able to locate healthcare coverage. Barry Kaplan was the person who contacted us (our "agent"?) He stepped us through the whole process very thoroughly and we had a group policy in place on the first day of the following month! We've had the same policy ever since then. The premiums raise every year. That's no surprise and out of the agent's control. So we have no beef toward the agent for that. However, we have never been contacted by our agent since. We have wanted to review plans and pricing. We have attempted to contact them over the years, with the most aggressive attempts in February, 2008 and during the period December, 2009 up until our annual renewal on March 1, 2010. I just left another message for Barry to please contact me for an urgent matter. I have sent emails, left voice mails, and have talked to staff in the office trying to reach Barry or someone who can provide information and service that I need. They never returned a phone call or email that I can recall since the start of the insurance back in 2000. I had second thoughts about the F rating because the initial experience was so good. But the F does accurately represent the last few years of service.
