I'm disabled, and rarely leave the house. But I have two vans and two pickups in case I need them.
One of them, 1987 Dodge quit on me as I was going to the store. I called Towriffic Repair LLC to get the truck moved off the road. Since they had a repair shop there, I let them fix the truck.
I told them I didn't drive much and it has been a long time since anything had been done to it. If it was going to be in the shop anyway why not get some other things fixed too. I had had three surgeries in six months, and it was going to take a long time to recover. There was no rush to get it done.
I did get it back in a timely manner, and brought it home and parked it.
A few months latter I needed to move it, and it wouldn't start.
I called the company to let them know, and they said they would take care of it. Again I said it would take some time to get it in, and there was no rush.
It was the first week in June before I was strong enough to drive the truck. It was then I found out what they had done.
I told them about the ignition switch, located on the floorboard. It is activated by a metal rod running along the outside of the steering column when you turn the key.
The rod would pop out of the switch, and the motor would not start.
The shop did nothing about the problem, and charged me $100.70 to replace a perfectly good lock cylinder.
I want a refund of $100.70, and my old lock put back in. Now I have different keys for the door and the ignition. I want it back the way it was.
When they took off the steering wheel to replace the lock, it was nor put back on properly. I would like that repaired.
I ask them to fix the power windows. They were slow and the passenger side would stop sometimes half way up.
This too was ignored. Instead they got into the fuse panel and removing parts of it and installing a fusible link that was not needed. $90.55
I want that refunded and the fuse panel repaired. The windows were slow, but they worked.
A panel under the steering column was removed. This panel holds the fuse box in place. I found it in the glove box, and the fuse box wire tied up under the dash. I want that fixed. And the panel replaced.
The truck has been driven 21 miles since they worked on it.
As we talked about on the phone, I do not trust the same person who did the work, to fix the work he messes up.
So, please send me a refund for the work that there was no reason to do. Then when I get the key and fuse box fixed, I will send you a bill. I do not trust the work to be done right, and am afraid of other charges.
