I hired Laven Electric to put in a new 200 amp electric service in the home I purchased. 4 technicians showed up and had me up and running in a short period of time. They did a professional job. I will use them on future projects and highly recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work at reasonable prices.

The technicians, JT and Derrick were awesome! Professional, kind, and very informative. Walked me thru each step of the dusk to dawn light installation, the 4 porch lights that all had issues, 3 security lights and the installation of 5 smoke detectors. Plus, They had to make one run to get bulbs for my security lights. I now feel safe in my home. I did think that the company was a little high $$ wise, but you get what you pay for , so it's all good. Yes, I would recommend Laven.

Received a prompt call to set up a convenient service call for an estimate or immediate repair. Was at the residence before the appointed time. Quickly determined a key issue and promptly repaired one of the big issues, then moved to troubleshoot a difficult knob-and-tube wiring that had plagued the house for several years. Found that it was two issues and the elusive factor was a fuse in the attic along with a rodent eaten wire that they repaired. The crew was able to write up the bill on the spot and close out the repair at a very reasonable cost. They were courteous and kept me informed on what they were doing. What was very appreciative was the scan they made on all circuits, switches and outlets to ensure they weren't omitting any other problem prior to calling the repair complete. All of which made it very easy to want tor write this review.

the credit card dispute people said they did not decide anything based on the quality of the work, only whether work was done. The Kansas attorney general advised me the same as a local attorney to take this business to court. I hired them to do some work on my sons house, and they installed the wrong transfer switch and would not make it right. Lance laven would not come to the house to see the problem. He got rude, said he was too busy, had a big 650k job. I wanted my kitchen lights fixed, and they put in LED lighting which does not work in an old house with old wiring according to other electricians. He did refund that part of the work and told me to find someone else to fix the problems. He offered to replace the wrong transfer switch for something of a lot lesser value and not refund the difference. What he offered is what he should have put on in the first place. He refused to come to the house, finally wrote me an email telling me to not contact him, that he blocked my phone number, email, and he would call the police and get a restraining order if necessary. After all that and taking about 3k I had to charge to pay him, which I did before I realized things were not right, the bathroom switch went bad and needs to be replaced. I do not know what else he did wrong yet and what else will stop working. I am 70 years old and cannot believe he threatened me with the police. I wish he would then I will let them know he does bad work and does not stand behind it. His brother did the bid and I have never met this guy as he would not come and look at the issues, he said he was stressed and having family problems. I bet this guy has a lot of problems. When I tried to get a message to his brother that did the estimate for the work i was not allowed to get through. He is doing a huge job in Leavenworth at hill crest manor behind the old shopping center with a $650k contract, so he got my money and ran. I did do a dispute with the credit card company, but they felt he did the work, which he did, but it was wrong and things are not working, now I have to pay to have issues fixed and that is exactly what he told me to do. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LAVEN ELECTRIC. HE EVEN TOLD ME HE WAS BUSY AND I WAS LUCKY TO EVEN GET HIM TO DO THE WORK IN THE FIRST PLACE.

We'e hired Lavern Electric for several projects in our home. We are always pleased with the quality of their work. Recently, we hired them to install ceiling lighting, and add several electrical outlets in our basement. They recommended the number of lights we would need -- and the results were perfect! They also installed a new circuit in the breaker box to handle the additional power needed for the lighting. We will hire them again for any future electrical needs.

They were very courteous. Installed a new ceiling fan and light switch within 35 minutes. Did a very good job.

Very quick to respond, pricey.

This company and the crew is professional, polite, courteous and clean. The crew works hard. I had them relocate a meter, install a new elec. panel along with some other things. they did a great job. I would recommend them and I plan on having them come back to my home when i am ready to finish my basment to have them run some wiring and install/replace outlets in the near future.

They did an excellent job! I will hire them again if I have any electrical projects.

I thought they were quite expensive but the work was excellent and the electricians were very professional. They were worth the money.
