Every aspect of service was excellent.  I had no problem with the initial contact and booking a service date.  I was contacted by phone 15-20 minutes prior to originally scheduled service telling me they were on time and in route.  The two gentlemen (Matt and Dan) were very courteous and professional and knew what they were doing.  They installed and connected everything requested and explained what they were doing as well as the outcome.  In addition, they looked at another problem I was having with a motor circuit, took some photos, and told me they would send me a bid.  I thourght the cost of the service was very reasonable and they delivered the invoice/receipt by email.  It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Laven to anyone looking to engage an electrician.

We originally call to have the lighting fixture in the kitchen fixed and to get a estimate about putting a new outlet in.  They arrived on time and quickly discovered that the outlet on the ceiling worked just fine, but the fixture was broken.  They put in a new light fixture that was beautiful and easier to maintain. We started asking about some other issues we had around the house, and  they came up with great suggestions and in no time at all, what we thought would be an estimate turned out to be a completed job for what we wanted and more!

Excellent .   Lance and his team rewired every outlet and service connection done by the previous contractor.

One part of our job was moving our washer / dryer to a newly built utility room - but we didn't want to be without it for several days to move the 220 outlet; so Lance Laven ran the new 220 to the utility room, but left the old one connected. Then, when we were ready to move, he swapped the connections in just a few minutes. Presto!

They were not satisfied with how remotes were working on the initial
installation, (the wireless signals crossed) so came back and hard wired
everything. The lights and fans work great and we appreciate Laven
Electric seeing the job through to a satisfied completion. They showed
up when they said they would, both for estimate and work and were
professional in doing the job and in cleaning up. I definitely recommend
them!

Since I bought this house, I have had some outlets that did not work.  Two of them were repaired and a J box placed in the wall for connections.  A third outlet had no wiring coming to it and I decided I didn't really need it and it was covered with a blank.  My main concern was my furnace tripping my main last winter.  If I programmed my thermostat for a low of 60 degrees and then heat up to 70 degrees for my return, it would trip the main breaker and the breaker for the furnace would be very hot.  If I only had a 3 or 4 degree difference I had no problem, but obviously the problem needed some attention.  The electrician ended up replacing the main breaker and the breaker for furnace and also the breaker for the dryer.  
An appointment was scheduled a week ahead of time for my convenience.  The electrician called before he arrived and arrived on time as scheduled.  He was polite, friendly, courteous and professional.  As I explained the different items I wanted fixed he would ask relevant questions to help determine what needed to be done and explain to me what options I had.  He checked the furnace and found no problems with the furnace itself.  He showed me some darkening on metal in the breaker box.  This could be the result of loose or poor connections which may have caused the breaker to heat up.  I'm not sure the main breaker was bad but it is unusual for a main to trip so I agreed to have it replaced with the other breakers for peace of mind.  He did not have the parts on hand for my particular box but he willingly met my schedule and returned the next Saturday morning to complete the work.  He arrived on time and completed his work in a timely manner and cleaned up after his work.  Besides replacing the breakers, he tightened down all connections in the breaker box.

The photocell in my yard light had stopped turning the yard light off during the day.  I called and an appointment was made for the next week.  The repairmen arrived right on time and went straight to work.  They checked the overall wiring in the yard light to verify that the photocell was causing the problem and quickly replaced it.  They even cleaned the yard light''s glass panes and interior housing.  They answered all my questions promptly and knowledgeably, and were extremely friendly and courteous.  I will definitely call on this company again when I need electrical work.

I am an out of town homeowner with new tennants moving in that identified an electrical issue.  Laven Electric responded to my message within 1 hour and contacted the tennants directly to schedule an appointment later that same day.  As soon as he had identified the problem he called me directly with a couple different options and the cost for each option and then completed the work and e-mailed me a detailed description and bill the next day.  I have had poor experiences with other electricians on issues over the past year but certainly not the case with Laven Electric, I will be using them for all future electrical issues!
