I submitted a "Customer Service Form" from their Web site to request a free estimate for lawn treatments (e.g., fertilizer, weed control), and immediately after submitting this I called to ask some questions. Janice answered my call and very helpfully and politely addressed my questions; she wasn't pressuring me to hire them or pushing services I didn't want. She called the next day to inform me of their quoted price, which seemed reasonable compared to another company ($59.95 for 7 treatments -- our lawn is about 5,800 square feet), and answer some other questions. She asked a follow-up question about my earlier comment about being wary of lawn-care services due to a poor past experience and information from the Web. I decided to hire a different company, but the choice was not obvious. I have no good reason to believe these two companies' lawn-treatment services would differ in a noticeable way. The main reason for preferring the other company is that they offer tree-pruning services that we'll probably need soon; minor reasons are that the other company sent a representative out who spoke with me in person when visiting, and they provided somewhat more information on their Web site about their employees' credentials and experience. That said, if we're not happy with the other company, then Total Lawn Care would probably be our next choice.

I wasn't able to get a hold of them by phone, but when I put in a request for an estimate in their website, the owner came over the next day. After determining what services were needed, an appointment was scheduled just a few days later. The person who came to do the treatment showed up on time. He notified us that he would be working in the yard, gave specific instructions about when to water, when to mow and what we could expect as far as results. We received the bill on our front door immediately after treatment and it was for the exact amount we were told it would be.
