Cody was one of the nicest, most competent repairmen we’ve ever had. Quick to diagnose, quick to repair and above all reasonably priced.

I used Steve's Appliance Repair twice, once to fix a dry and
once for a washer. They did okay on the dryer a couple years ago (not much the
could mess up), but two months ago they came out to fix my washer and caused
$2,000 worth of damage to my home due to their negligence.
I politely and professionally tried to discuss the matter
with the owner, Steve Cummings, but he would barely even listen to what I said.
I ended up having to take them to small claims court (at which time both he and
his son Cody either lied to the court, or they?re so inept they don?t know the
truth) to try to recoup my costs for the damaged property! Never did end up
getting the money!
Spend the extra money and hire Professionals!

Investigated problems our dishwasher was having with electronic controls and occasional problems draining. In a reasonable amount of time he was able to identify the problem as a door latch/switch. He was able to make some physical adjustments that alleviated most of the problems. He said he would check on the cost of replacement parts. He called about four days later with costs and advised against buying and installing them because of the age of the dishwasher. He also provided recommendations on replacement dishwashers. The cost was just a basic service call. His practical approach and honest advice are why I use Steve's Appliance Repair!

We had a 9 am appointment scheduled for the morning of a big snowstorm. It had already started to snow, but the repairman showed up right on time. He replaced a seal and part which had been squeaking. Work was quick and clean.

New heating element connected to bracket was still wobbly. I called them out and already had back off drier They installed my new thermometer coil with longer screw & put the back on. Charged me full service charge of $75 for 15 minutes worth of work. Thermostat went out 5 minutes into drying first load. I ordered thermostat part and replaced myself.

Discovered the problem on Monday, December 23, 2013 and the company offered to come on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Since the refrigerator was working even with the leaking water, so we chose to put off the service call until December 26, 2013. We appreciated the fact that if it had been an emergency, Steve's Appliance would have been willing to see us the next day (it is hard to find companies that are that responsive).
The repairman was prompt, diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed the problem in less than an hour. The repairman was very efficient and the service call was inexpensive.
This is the second time we have used Steve's Appliance Repair and we have been satisfied each time. We will use them again and we would recommend them.

It was necessary to analyze the problem. I didn't have something that didn't work-I had something that wouldn't stop working. Once that was sone he set a new appt., ordered the part and came back and fixed it. Both times he was promptly on time. He was efficient and courteous. Best of all he had a good sense of humor.

The technician was prompt and professional. The dishwasher was difficult to remove because the previous owner had wood floors installed in the kitchen. The technician was very careful to pull out the dishwasher so that he did not scratch the floor. He fixed the item within an hour and was very careful to make the sure the dishwasher worked after re-installing it.

Steve came to my house and helped set up my vintage stove, which was new and hadn't been used in 47 years. He did a good job of setting it up, however, he seemed uninterested and was quick to leave as soon as he felt he had completed the job. Soon after he left, however, a leak developed in the oven control unit, and moreover, there were some things with the oven that he did not adjust and which I had to figure out how to do on my own. Not a big deal--I would still recommend him--but keep in mind that if you want someone with patience to stick around and make sure everything is fine, Steve probably isn't your man.

Our freezer ran continuously and maintained a temp of about 25 degrees. We live in a rural area so joined Angie's List to acquire their services. We picked a co. that had an A rating & they came out the next morning promptly at 9:45am. By 10:10 am the serviceman was finished and on his way. We were very satisfied with the service they provided.

He worked on my oven last year with the same experience. Good!
