Headmasters

This is definitely NOT the old Headmasters people knew and loved on Vermont Street.  I went to the new place three times, for a cut, a highlight, and a second cut.   The staff were chatty and spent a lot of time talking to each other, but did not seem particularly interested in what I wanted done.  The first time, my haircut was just sloppy and was not well cut.  The woman who cut it seemed distracted or nervous or something, so I decided to try again.  I made an appointment for a partial highlight, with just a few "foils."  She began putting foils in, applying bleach, and put them very close together and all over my head.  I reminded her I just wanted a few in the front.  She stopped, leaving the back completely dark and the front completely blond.   And then charged me $90.00 for a full highlight, because she had put in so many foils before I stopped her.  Mind you, all three times I went I paid full price and tipped 20%. . . .
The third time I went in, I asked her to make the back layered.  She asked if I meant "stacked," and I foolishly said yes, without understanding that "stacked" apparently refers to a specific "trendy" cut that is radically angled (and would probably look better on someone 30 years younger than I am).  What she did, then, was cut the back very short, and angle the sides so it was MUCH longer in front than in back, and hung forward into my face, which was not at all what I wanted or liked or had asked for.  I asked her to correct it by making the sides shorter, and she kind of freaked out about how I said I wanted it "stacked" and that was what she had done, and not to come back if I didn't like the way she cut it.
And you shouldn't go there, either.  They don't seem to have many customers, and now I know why . . .
